Sunday Trail Ride 9/30

Another 41 miles with Gina. Got a short clip of LAC and a visit at the coast.

Pic of LewisAClark and Tony (SART regular)

I tried to capture the bike in the backgroud but LewisAClark blocked the shot.

Beanz, where exactly is the SART and where does it come out at the coast?

I'm not Beanz, but it's Santa Ana River Trail, and it empties into the Pacific at the Huntington Beach/Newport Beach line, just off Brookhurst St. It's a trail which runs along the Santa Ana river from pretty much the Orange/Riverside county line to the ocean, although I believe there's also an inland section somewhere upriver in Riverside County. Or maybe San Bernardino County. Or maybe bits and pieces in both counties (the headwater of the SAR is in San "Berdoo" County). Find the 91 freeway on your map, find where it passes through Santa Ana canyon between east Anaheim and Corona, and locate the river. Follow it to the sea.

But I know you wanna be!:p

Yes, the section we ride starts in Corona and takes us to the coast, 30 mile one way trip, 60 roundtrip. :D

Thanks! I am thinking of visiting my sister who lives in Carson and wondered where the trail you keep talking about was in relation to Carson.

Carson is closer to the LA river and San Gabriel river trail. Plus Palos Verdes which has cloning and beautiful views

I'm not crazy about riding on the San Gabriel Trail. Seems more like a desert ride. I've been on a couple others near there and just not as nice as SART IMO.

SanG trail.

I need to hook up for a Beanz / Gina SART ride

Oh yeah! It's a much nicer trail, underpasses and all! We actually live about 10 miles closer to SGRT but rather ride SART.
