Took the new commute bike out for a spin before the rain moves in. Rides beautifully, just needs a few more pieces to be complete.

As with every Sunday, I took off early so I can rack up some mileage and get in shape for some bicycle touring in the following weeks. Unfortunately I broke the #1 rule, which is eat a proper breakfast and hydrate, leaving home with an almost empty stomach and without proper hydration.

I still managed to ride around 30km, but it didn't feel right due to lack of energy, and even though I stopped along the way and bought myself an energy bar, I was still knackered.

Anyhow... here's a couple of snapshots taken with my cellphone...

Looking north-east with Athens in the far left...

and the southern coast with the province of Glyfada and Voula in the foreground

Here are a couple from my ride today. I'm calling it the Sunday snow ride. 12.8 miles and 1020 feet of gain. It was not snowing when I started, and it didn't look all that threatening, although snow is in the forecast. I definitely cut it short, but it was cool riding during a snow fall.

I certainly enjoy this thread! It is so interesting to see everyone's biking photos from all over the world. Thanks to all for sharing. I wish there was a "Like" button that I could click after each entry. We are up to our rear ends in snow here in Minnesota with more coming.

+1000

I'm sure you're fed up with snow this year, but I miss it, especially growing up in the states with real autumns and winters!

Sunday and again I'm out riding/training/exercising for bicycle touring, and thankfully spring is in full force here!

On the way, stopping for some much need hydration

Following some views from Vouliagmeni...

My trusty ride...

Flowers starting to bloom, perfect temperature and just enough cloud cover to make things comfortable

Finally, a shot of the photographer himself! lol

Tempting to dive in, but the water's still coooold!

Some much needed energy for the ride back!

Well, I can definitively say that 38 degrees is significantly more comfortable than the 35 degrees it was yesterday. The cherry blossoms seem to think it is spring though.

Some pics from today's ride, a personal best with a distance of 25kms (around 15.5 miles)

Perhaps I will even stop here next time

Picture of my new roadbike I purchased a few weeks ago (taken yesterday on a shorter ride)

My [soon to be] Daily commute takes me over the local beltway. Having driven this roadway for 10 years its a bit surreal to be ABOVE IT.

Another great ride today, came across this incline, certainly gave me some trouble going up but quite proud to say that I was able to ride up it.

From Monday's commute, the morning after we got 18 inches of wet, heavy snow. Thanks to the City of Springfield's dedicated snow plowers, I was able to make it in. The snow in the trees made for a spectacular view!
