Headed out to our local MTB park to play around on the freeride trails over the weekend. Spent a lot of time practicing smooth form and landings on the mid-sized step-up jump at this particular run.
It's about a 2-footer up from the lip of the takeoff to where I aimed on the landing step, and about 3.5 - 4 feet of total gap from lip-to-lip. Nothing monstrous like the one next to it (5' of step-up with about 8 or 9 feet of gap!) I don't even imagine hitting anything that big!
Slightly blurry screencap from my Contour.

Wife and I went out for an easy ride on one of our local forest preserve MUPs. Finally got a new battery for my GoPro (old one suddenly died and would not take a charge), so I recorded our leisurely outing. Here's just a few screen captures from the video.
Just getting started by a picnic shelter...
Heading down the trail...
A couple of other riders enjoying the beautiful morning...

From a hard ride on Sunday, it was only 36 miles but for around me, and me, very hilly. Totally kicked my butt and felt great, this was about 1/2 way through.

Great ride today, the temperature was in the mid 60s.
A nice 25 Mile ride for the day.
Appears to be an old church, couldn't get a really good picture, was fenced off.
Newer (12 months old) train station, decided to go take a look.
Secure bike parking, costs $10 per year to access all cages (3 at the moment at different stations)
24 hour monitored CCTV.

Saturdays ride.... on the road to the beach (Newport Beach) and back to Tustin - 42 miles. This is at the fartest point before we head back overlooking Newport Bay. It was cold and chilly at the beach, warmer inland. Second photo (sorry for the angle) is my bike at Mason Park watching all the teenagers Canadian Geese...
Sunday I was a docent on a beginner/family ride. First photo is the lead docent giving a little lecture on the Canyon's water sources. Second is riding back from The Sinks to Augustine Staging, Santiago Canyon, CA

Went out for an enjoyable ride this afternoon (well, it was enjoyable until I got sick as a dog, but that's a subject for another thread). While out on the bike path, I happened upon a very old and very small cemetery. "How small was it?" (Done to the old 'Match Game' line LOL) It only had 2 graves. Had to snap a few pics. Also got a pic of my bike in there as well.

50 milers with Gina and Aimee. Gina not feeling well barfed at mile 20 but still managed to whip out 51 miles. A bee landed in my ear and gave me a little spicy treat, ouch!

Gina is a lot tougher than I am I got stung in the ear ten miles after she got sick and recovered. She asked if I wanted to stop the ride. I couldn't say no after she toughed it out!
She is tougher than me though, we've had about 5 marital cage like fights and she's won 4.

Heres some photos from my 23 mile trip today on Portland's Springwater trail. The last time I did this same trip, I was dying. 2 weeks later, I'm more in shape and i'm trying to better myself physically and as a cyclist.

Short jaunt along the river, very quiet.
then stopped by a river/lake after i had been on an exhausting trail ride.
Followed the river north and found some wild horses, i spooked the bunch up on the ridge near me but they came back eventually.
All in all a great ride, decent weather and quite hot for the uk
