Los Angeles in March

My wife and I may be going to LA in March and I'm wondering about cycling opportunities, my wife will be in conferences all day which will give me a lot of time to ride. If it happens anyone interested in giving a Canadian a little bike tour? I would love to climb a mountain, not many of those in my part of the world. Yes title says San Fran my stupid.

Much of it will depend on where in LA you'll be. It's a very large metropolitan area.

Where I'm at, I can ride out my front door and hook up with other riders every morning of the week except Friday for a 2-3 hour ride (more or less if I want).

You might want to ride GMR.

Clyde ride up GMR!

There's a boat load of riding opportunities out here and the weather is BEAUTIFUL in March. I'd be happy to meet you at the base of GMR and drag (or be dragged) up to Baldy Village, or any other assorted interesting rides in the area.

as mkadam said - do tell, where will you be and when? The Solvang century is on March 9 if you want to wander up to the Santa Barbara wine country for a long ride.

If you're more in the San Fernando valley hit up Eja_botecchia for tour advice or consult this blog for some ideas - http://www.toughascent.com/blog/

I'm not sure yet where we will be, my wife has the details. My going will depend on having someone too look after the kids.

Make the kids ride too. Ask ahultin about that, he's crazy successful at getting his kids on a bike.

I would be more than happy to show you some nice rides here in Ventura County (nicely nestled between L.A. and Santa Barbara). There is the Tour of the Alpacas (where you wil see alpacas ) and the Tour of PCH (where you will see surfers and maybe dolphins too).

Just bring some home-made poutine and a six pack of Molson and we are good.

There is also some good riding in San Francisco.

My kids love when I make poutine and funny I have a 12 of Molson Canadian on the back deck right now, yes it's cold enough outside to keep it nice to drink.

Life is good, eh?

My cousin, who was born in Cuba and raised in Argentina, married a Canadian and now lives in London (Canada).

Fixed the title for you. And this whole Tour the Canadian could be fun! I keep hearing all these you can go here "OR" here. Uh, how long you going to be here? I'm thinking he can go to Ventura, do GMR AND PCH!
