C/A Logo and Jerseys
OK, I'm not sure how serious we are, but the SoCal C/A riders who have been getting together to ride are starting to think about coming up with Jerseys. I think we should not limit it to SoCal, but make them available to everyone, if there is interest. Has this ever been done in the C/A forum before. Does anyone have a C/A logo? Anybody a graphic artists? Know one? Have ideas of what our logo should look like? I'm pretty good in PhotoChop, but have never ventured into logo design....except for the quick little Haleakala climbers badge I made for those who have made the climb to put in their signature.
Anybody have any catchy tag lines? Wonder if we could get Weight Watchers to sponsor our jerseys!
My vote would be that the main color be in the red family, but let's talk about it.
Any and all input is welcome.

I didn't scroll down so disregard my comment in the other thread.
I like the idea of a stylized text deal rather than an image....but I am open to seeing what people come up with.
I like Red as a major color as it is eye catching.
My club is getting jersey's from Cyberhorse (hmmm) at a reasonable rate. They have a design your own jersey deal...but I don't see how to use it.

I'm not suggesting this vendor. I searched the forum for custom jerseys and picked one. Played around a little to get the visual out there. I agree that a stylized text would work well. This has just stock text. I could do MUCH better in Photoshop and upload it as a logo. And the "Clyde's Club" is the same thing. Just trying to get the ball rolling. I agree we need to get the Athena aspect incorporated. I just haven't put too much into this yet.

Nice jumping off point!

I don't want any jersey with any stinking horses.
Maybe something with a mountain in the background, or a really big burger...

As much as I'd like to sport a Clyde jersey I guess it's only fair that Athenas be mentioned as well. I guess I can find a clyde only jersey on line somewhere.
But my suggestion woud be that the bikeforumsdotnet not be used on the jersey. I'd rather not be affiliated with the site as far as a jersey. If anything happens or for whatever reason a poster may have, he will continue to feel comfortable sporting the jersey even after leaving the site if it so happens.
The SoCal forum did something similar so their jerseys said "SoCal Forums" so that they were more generic and could be worn without affiliation if desired. Most of them left the site and still wear the jerseys today. I know if I ever get banned, I wouldn't want to advertise for the site but I 'd still want to wear the Clyde?Athena jersey.

Perhaps you might be able to get some ideas from this jersey that I saw at the Amgen Tour of California Lifestyle Festival here in Sacramento.

The idea started with our so cal group of GMR conquerors but think the jersey is meant for all C/A's. I love the idea of all of us REPRESENTING what I feel is the best group of cyclists as we are walking the walk and encouraging each other.

How about " Team Clydesdale and Athena, in front and "like it on top," with a mountain in background for back. Also, I vote bikeforum stays off, for what Beanz states, should also make it general, not california specific.

I like the love 2 pedal version, it's not bad, but I think we need a mountain in there.

C/A Logo and Jerseys
My sense of [strike]honor[/strike] may be a little more irreverent than others'. I'm ok poking fun at myself. Not everyone agrees though. Well, except TrojanHorse. He likes to poke fun at me, too. I like the wide load on the jersey above.
EDIT!!!! - My stupid iPhone typed "honor" I meant HUMOR. BIG difference! My sense of humor is a bit warped.

We will NOT ignore the Athenas.
Every year, I get hired by a corporate team to shoot their athletes in the Nautica Tri at Zuma Beach. Today was the day, so we left home at 3:30 and just got home. I'm a tad tired. But, while I was there, I saw a jerse tyhat I wish I was able to get a shot of. It was "Team Fatso". Made me laugh....hard.
