Back in the saddle for good!

After a VERY depressing last 12 months of my life I have embraced the enjoyment I had in cycling again. I dropped 45 pounds(355-308) in the spring of 2011 on my 2010 Allez and was really making gains, doing 60 milers and having a blast. Sadly I moved to Waikiki where I slacked off and sold the bike, put the weight back on and tried to mask my self hate for my size.....That is all behind me now.

I have lost 30 LBS in the last 63 Days.(354-324) and have bought and built my new Allez to replicate my old one. I am on the upright bike and in the pool getting my cardio right, made a major lifestyle change to my diet and have hired a personal trainer who is putting weight training in my life again.

My goal is to one day be small(165) and do it naturally.

Good for you. I had been off for nearly 10 years. Missed it almost daily but had a million reasons for not getting back on (self employed the biggest one). Over the years I tried two or three times to get back on with no luck. Finally got back on late this summer. Sad to think about all the rides I've missed:-(

Thanks for the kind repiles. I am down another 10 and that is 40 LBS in less than 3 months. I am happy with these results and looking to transition from the gym to the road once the scale says 299. 15 lbs and I will be doing 50 milers....

So I have reached the magical 297 LBS mark and I am super excited! I am doing 2 hours at 90-100 cadence on the spinner in my gym. The weight is FINALLY showing both in my performance on the bike and in my clothes. I have crossed back into 2xl shirts.

Crazy thing is I broke my arm on a bike crash 2 weeks ago. I cracked the radial head when my front wheel locked up in my buddies derailuer at 20 mph. Still in the gym and want more speed, less fat and more strength. This is seriously becoming an addiction...this way of life is fun!
