My Favorite Thread at BF
I think my favorite thread on BF is Commuter Bicycle Pics in the Commuting forum. I can spend a whole afternoon just leafing through its 400+ pages looking at the setups. It started in 2004, which was before I was born. Well, not really, but it's old. Some of the bikes are beautiful. I think bicycles should be classified as an art form.

+1 on art form.
My favorite is the Confession thread over on the 41s. Even though "I'm too fat for 41s" I sneak over and read it. It's very funny, my confession is I've read every one of the posts in the 60 some odd pages.

Most of the people on the 41 are too fat for the 41... including me. Every now and then one of the tough talking hot heads will let something slip that makes me scratch my head.

Best thread are in the A&S . IT is like watching a train wreck happen over and over , and the train was full of orphans that just got their first puppy .

The 41 is filled with riders who think that if they had only trained harder instead of going to college and taking up accounting or computer programming they would be giving climbing lessons to Wiggins or the Schleck brothers. The 41 exists to provide a forum for such thinking, saving it from the cruel laughter of the outside world.

I love the 41, it's a hoot. And yes I openly admit I'm too fat, I admit that my bike and wheels are way more than I need and I love arguing with the so called racers who subject me to all my flaws. Usually all it takes is asking how they manage to make a living riding in a 2km square for an hour....lol. I never outright say that but I get mt point across. On the other hand there is a ton of knowledge from many experienced riders.

Oh, that, and OMG, how judgmental can people be? My absolute favorite thread in the last month or so was some guy posting that some female friend of his (who apparently rides a lot but doesn't really know what kind of bike to buy) wanted to spend up to 10k on a new bike. Holy cats, the finger waggers came out of the woodwork. The tough guys with bike direct bikes said anything more than $900 is a waste and give the rest to charity. Everybody had his or her own level of disdain... more than 3k is a waste, more than 5k is a waste.
It was an interesting experiment in the human condition. I'm still laughing.
