Awesome! There are quite a few century rides here in Washington prior to the STP. I wouldn't worry too much about hills as much as distance. There really is only the one big hill on the STP route and it's not that bad. Getting used to sitting on a saddle all day is what I would recommend. I'm shooting for 1 day this year. So far I have a group of 4 willing to work together. I don't know if I'll shell out the extra $10 for the timing chip or not. This year's jersey looks pretty cool though. I think I might buy one.

I'm signed up for the STP too Got a shiny new bike to break in and I'm a few months out of the saddle but I've kept in decent shape at least, time to retrain my butt for the long haul!

The STP sounds fun but is the same day as the Tour Deschutes in Bend Or, but it is on the sometime list for me. I host a annual fund raising ride in Bend that would be excellent training for the STP and the timing is good for it to. There is plenty of climbing too.

I'll have to look into those rides in Bend. I think I'm gonna try the RAMROD this year too, so I could use some hill climbing!

Oh, and for anyone interested, the STP is already 80% sold so get on it if you're thinking about it!
