Training for La Bella Preme

I started training for this ride with the team formed by The Unlikely Cyclist shop owner Vntgdrms.

Today was to have been first training ride as a team. Weather had other ideas so instead we rode our bikes on trainers inside the shop with Vntgdrms coaching us. This was my first time really riding a trainer. WOW....more of a workout than I anticipated. Now I want to get a trainer so I can ride regardless of weather or time of day.

Trainer that your bike goes on? Or standalone trainer?

I got my wife one of those spin bike trainers - she loves it, I need to be outside. I was tempted to get one of those kirk kinetic models but again... I detest riding indoors. :)

Glad you liked it though, it's a great way to break up your routine, especially on rainy days.

It was a KK trainer that your bike goes on. I prefer outdoors as well but like the idea of being able to ride even if weather uncooperative or time of day I am able to ride might keep me from riding otherwise. I don't lie riding in the dark...

We'll see about actually getting one but at least now I know what riding one is like. BTW Vntgdrms is one tough coach. Made us work!

The rock and road is the one I was ogling... it moves with you so if you stand, it feels natural. I may still get one. :)

That looks like a cool ride, which one are you doing?

Doing the long 63 (?) mile one.

I like the look of the rock and road one as well. Not sure if I can swing that if I go for the purchase....Depends on how certain things play out over next few weeks related to my loss of employment.
