100 Mile Plus Club: February Edition.. STOP THE EXCUSES.. get your butt in the saddle

As we kiss January goodbye and welcome in February, this month is all about stopping the excuses. You know what I am talking about....

"It's too cold"
"It's too windy"
"I am too tired"

STOP, drop your pants, put on the cycling gear, hop in the saddle and pedal away into the sunset!

Whos in??

Zoxe is in. Same rules for me as last time -- I'll be logging indoor biking miles (although tracking separately) based on whatever crazy number the exerbike odometer spits out.

Swimming: 7500m
Biking: 175mi
Weight: Lose another 5 lbs.

More trainer miles for me...

Had 300 of them for January, so 350 sounds good. I don't have the clothing to go out in less than about 45F weather, and that requires it to warm up 60 degrees.

Hoping to get out on the roads in March.

I would be in but got arrested for indecent exposure when I dropped my pants as per your instruction. Thanks for the useless advice

Seriously, I'm aiming at 250 miles for Feb, plus the 10 I fell short in Jan, making 260

I'm in for 200 in February but I'm still a wimp when its wet. And I hate riding into the sunset, hurts my eyes, can I ride the other direction?

Going to be out of town cross-country ski touring for a bunch of prime riding time, plus the weather is still in unpredictable mode, so I'm going to say 120, with one 100K ride and at commuting one-way* at least twice. Plus like 50 miles of skiing. I only did the commute once in January, but that was more times than I'd ever done it in non-summer months before, so I'm going to ramp up slowly there.

* Multi-modal commute -- in the summer I tend to take my bike on the train to work as I am so not a morning person, and ride home. In the winter, as I don't relish 17 miles of heavy high-speed rush-hour traffic in pitch darkness, I have to reverse the process. This summer I hope to start riding round-trip regularly.

I'm in for 300. The forcast is for cool and dry weather the next 7 days so I hope to get in some road miles before the cold and snow return.

I missed by 400 goal last month by 38. So I'll take another 400 plus my 40 miss and have a target of 440 for Feb.
