The Cyclist Manifesto
I'm starting to read "The Cyclist's Manifesto" by Robert Hurst (Kindle edition on my smartphone). Anyone else looked at that book?

So I finished the book, it's a very interesting read. There's a lot of information about the history of transportation through the last century +, and a very good case for using a bicycle for personal freedom and health. Not bad, but not what I expected. The author (Robert Hurst) is definitely not a fan of VC! Next I bought the Kindle versions of "Just Ride" by Grant Peterson and "The Art of Cycling" by Robert Hurst and I'm gonna read those. I know Grant draws up a lot of emotion here in BF!

I'm about half-way through ""Just Ride" and it's interesting. I'm finding I agree with about 2/3 of the things he says (you don't need to wear a "clown outfit", it's ok to use platform pedals, short rides are cool, you don't need the latest/newest stuff, ride for fun) and disagreeing with the rest (carbs make you fat, helmets are ineffective, don't use a backpack). But at the start of the book he states that he expects people to disagree with points. The main thing I agree with is - - JUST GET OUT THERE AND RIDE!
