Big Weight Loss Goal Met
I started this weight loss journey at 365.4 pounds in mid 2011. My first goal was to get to 325 pounds. Then it was 300 pounds. And the next goal was 275 pounds. It took a long time for me to go from 300 onto lower numbers which happened around the holidays which sucked.
But tonight was my weigh in and lost 3.2 pounds which resulted in a weight of 274.8 pounds. Thats 90.6 pounds lost. This makes me very happy! I feel great, have more energy, crave exercise and enjoy looking at food diffrently.
There are many things to still work on but it's been an amazing weight loss journey thus far!
Next goal: 250 pounds.

Double kudos to you sir! I say double because I'm sure being a chef makes it that much more challenging.

Congratulations. Way to go!
I've dropped over 40 pounds myself and concur with the changes you've described.

Food ... Fuhrman
Yup.... I went from 290+ down to 220... My Dr. gave me the book "Eat to Live" by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. I am now shooting for 195. I have several bikes. A 1985 Trek 720 touring bike running Panaracer 37mm x 700c tires with fenders and 40 spoke velocity Dyads is used for big bike camping outings.

It's been a heck of a ride thus far but have learned so much about myself, my wants/needs, emotions, eating patterns, and so much more. It is starting to feel more natural. I was able to bake cookies the other day and bring them to some friends who wanted some. I am able to pass by foods (cookies and donuts) that I am addicted to with no real issue. Yes, sometimes the mood comes up and lets be clear, I can have whatever I want (one thing I LOVE about the journey) but some foods are red light foods for me and those are it. Yesterday, I was offered a donut 12 different times and felt pretty good. The old me would partake in those yum yum donuts but then feel like **** afterwards. Its really about looking at food as energy and what it can do for your body.
It is starting to really feel natural. The weightloss/getting healthier/moving more journey is not easy at all. Its not simply about calories in and cal out and when people say that, it is sorta funny because its not the truth. There is so much more. Like dealing with why you got this heavy, what your cravings are, what is in your emptional baggage suitcase, how to deal with things at different times, etc.
I think about it as a big puzzle. Each persons puzzle is different but once you figure it out, it starts to get "easier". But one thing to note, at different times in your journey, the puzzle changes. It's like someone came along and messed the puzzle up and you have to start over again. Not that you gained wait but perhaps you have been stalling or unmotivated, etc.
I love the journey
