And a Great Sadness settled over the land
It's April 1 and the joke is on us here in the upper Midwest. After just two days of 40+ weather, I woke this AM to sub-zero windchills and thick frost on everything. Last week the weatherman was predicing a "cool" start to the week with a return to near seasonal norms (upper 40s to low 50s) by Wednesday. Now he's predicing 20s and winds for today and tomorrow and 30s for the rest of the week WITH POSSIBLE SNOW OR FREEZING RAIN on the weekend. He has basically given up and admitted he had no idea when we'd get back to seasonal temperatures. "No time soon" was all he said.
