Clyde/Athena Virtual Band (off topic...who plays?)
OK, who's in and who are the groupies?
This is fun, I just may give up cycling and move to a guitar forum. But for now, I'll have some fun with it here. I "try" to play but like cycling forums, I guess I'm a poser with a guitar that far beyond my abilities. I guess posers are in every world ha ha!
So it must be fun. I know Gina would never sing. I've tried karaoke with my family, at home and at a bar. I had fun but when I tried to get Gina up there, she threatened to punch me in the throat (seriously) So the other night when we sang with friends, I was in total shock that she agreed to sing. First time in 26 years I've heard her sing out loud.
She also said she'd never play the tambourine either but guess what, we bought one. She hasn't played it yet but it's coming.
So I'm on rythm guitar and I will try to sing if others don't step up. If any of you sing better, I'll step down. Same with the guitar, if you're better, I'll be the tambourine man as long as I can dance and shake my hips ha ha!
Ok, you saw Gina sing the other day, now I offer up my noise!
Who else has video to offer the virtual C&A band ????
Warning: Playing off the top of my head, my memory sucks, my voice sucks, my guitar skills suck, my typing sucks but it's fun!

I play bottleneck slide, fingerpick acoustic, and am trying to figure out lap steel. I try to sing, but don't have any way to record. I should try to set up my computer recording studio again.

BTW, if I could play that slide guitar solo in "Like a Rock", I'd retire happy.

my brother, you are A #1 in my book. I watched the whole thing and was dancing in my chair.
I can say this, at work, I am known as one no nonsense, tough, sob, and I don't have half the courage you do.
Keep on rocking.

I'm not a videographer, an interviewer, a singer, a guitarist, a photographer. I'm just a doer!
But if you thought this was even close to music, that's a big bonus Thanks!

In high school I was victim of stereotyping - "Give the tuba to the fat kid". Turned out I liked it and got pretty good. Got out of school and picked up the bass guitar (You ever price even a cheep tuba? Check the price of brass, there's a lot if it there)
Sadly my chops have been shot for years.

I played guitar a little bit, never got really good at it. It's been hanging in my garage for a few years now.

Saxophones, Clarinet, Trumpet. No footage to post, how about a picture of my B.S. in Music Education Diploma? Have not played for ten years.

I've been playing guitar for about 18 years. Nowadays mostly acoustic, but I've still got all the loud amps! I don't have any videos handy though.
BTW, if you're looking for a guitar forum, check out mylespaul.com. The "Backstage" section alone is one of the craziest forums on the internet!

I'm currently "in between projects" but have played in bands most of my adult life. I play saxophone primarily, but have been playing quite a bit of harmonica lately. I've played in bands ranging from straight ahead jazz/bebop, to funk, soul, blues, r&b and a bit of studio work as well.
I don't "practice" much anymore as I long ago lost any delusion of being a "professional" musician. Every time I sit the horn down for a few months though I end up diving headfirst into some project for a few months. It's just about that time.......

I'm real good playing my iPod. That count?
For those that do play an instrument.. I dob me lid to you. I can't play or sing a lick. Can't carry a note in a 5 gallon bucket.
My singing is so bad a lady at Church asked the Pastor to tell me to tone it down.

No videos! I see you already have sax players, so if you do some Jethro Tull, I play the flute. Also, am currently learning to play the violin - if you plan to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Mary Had a Little Lamb, or Hot Cross Buns, I can join in on the violin with that. Don't have enough voice to sing every song, but I can do some vocals.

I see we just about got a band.
I'll look into the MyLesPaul forum just for kicks.
