Update

Have not been on this forum for a while because of work and life but thought to give a small update. Since starting this weight loss trek, I'm now 102.4 pounds less. The road has been long with many learnings from different fella's and friends alike. I've heard there might be questions to what "method" that I use to lose the weight. Pretty basic stuff. Restrict excess eating, eat a lot of good foods for your body (and we ALL know what they are) like vegetables, fruit, carbohydrates in the form of complex vs simple, and lean proteins. I avoid majority of sweets, especially ones that come in bags from the store and mini marts like that. I write and journal everything including what I eat, capture the data I need and write down how I feel before and after I eat. This is my first real time trying to lose weight and I feel fantastic. Still have issues to work out that are personal but soon I hope to get help with those.

I do work with a nutritionist, dietitian, chef, counselor, and personal trainer. Please understand I do not see them all the time, maybe 1 once a month or once every other month because it can add up and hit the pocket hard.

I limit myself to only one hour of computer time and one hour of TV time a day. This helps me be more active.

The bicycle riding has been excelling. Just finished a 54 mile bicycle ride in PA with some of the Philadelphia Bike Club. They are mighty fast and seem not to slow on the hills. Some of us took a detour down Pughtown road and Bethel (East Vincent, PA) road to look at a few things for a project thats in the works.

Me, my legs, and my trike are bushed and very in need of a nap. Still shopping for a road bike.

Ozzie

I'm guessing you ARE 102.4 lb less. Huge congrats. Huge. I've pulled off a bit over half that and I'm pretty impressed with that minor effort so wow....keep it up and grab that road bike as soon as it works for you. You'll love it.

The restriction on TV and computer time makes a lot of sense. I easily slip into sedentary life. I did ditch tv back when I started losing weight and never went back. Internet though, is a problem.

Congratulations on your progress.
