It has been a week, How is everyone making out?

Starting weight: 215
Current weight: 212 = -3
Mileage Goal: 250 Miles
Current MTD Miles: 65.5 = 4 Ride Days
Miles to Go: 184.5


“I will stop whining, stay focused, ride more and eat better”

Still some minor Whining , More Focused, Riding more often, eating somewhat better. My average speed has been maintained or increased on all rides. I will increase mileage on each ride to reach goal

August 1st weight was 265.

A little late here.

After some good results last year in my first year of cycling I kicked off 2013 with extreme laziness and am just now getting back on the bike. Some life changes contributed to the downtime but in the end it's up to me to make sure I'm shedding the goo.

July 1st I started Insanity and completed the first month on schedule. I got bored with it. Although I only lost a couple pounds I did notice and increase in stamina and overall body shape. That was enough to get me excited about cycling again.

I plan to ride 3 times per week with 2 Insanity or P90x workouts thrown in to give me 5 workout days.

Well About a week after posting this I re-weighed myself and saw 197 (DARN!)
however I weighed myself today and the scale read 195.6, so One step back, one step forward.
In regards to my mileage, i'm at 287 miles.
I have to step it up slightly to make my 600ish mile goal for this month.

However i'm only 350 miles away from my 2000 miles this year goal

I'm actually surprised I lost any weight this week. My riding has been down, only at 100 miles this month, I had my son's 4th birthday party, cake and ice cream, a trip to the State Fair, I did pretty good with what I ate there, and a delicious homemade apple pie that I've had to work really hard at having discipline with. So while I would have liked to see more weight loss this week, I'm really lucky that I saw any at all.

Total weight loss since July first 15.5 pounds. I have went from a size 42 pants to a 40 and can get 38's on but not comfortably. I'm going to need a new belt before long, and need to take a link out of my watch band. My blood pressure is much better and my resting heart rate has went from the high 80's to the mid 50's. Plus the biggest thing is I feel much better. I am so glad I started this.
