My love2pedal experance

Ok I have to pass this story on to my fellow clydes about my experience with love2pedal. Being new to bikes I was in need of some bibs to help with the tenderside of my body and after reading some post I decided to give love2pedal a shot. Being 5'8 and 340 lbs I was worried about what size to get and after a quick email with Dan I decided on the 4XL size. 2 pairs 70 bucks with shipping what a deal right? Well 3 or 4 days later they show up on my door (pretty fast IMO) and I feel they are a little to big for me. Fit a little big right now and I am guessing in a month will be really big. So I decided to buy 2 more pairs in the 3XL and would try them out and exchange which ever for the right size. (so in the end I would have paid for 4 pairs and own 4 pairs. Seems logical in my mind
Ok now on to my problem... I tried to buy 2 pairs of 3XL and pay for them using 2 different Visa gift cars I got from a promo at work but the web site doesnt allow 2 cards. No biggie I thought I will just call and ask if I can pay for them over the phone but I couldnt find a phone number so I just gave them a quick email telling my story and waited for the response. The next day I got the email back and while this isnt an exact quote it went something like this...

Dear DSMRob (really my name but you get it)

I am sorry but our web site isnt set up for 2 forms of payment. I think what will be best is I am sending 2 pairs of 3XL and a return envelope out today return which ever ones you decide on.

Thanks Dan.

Now Dan doesnt know me from adam. He has no idea what I am like, he is just going on faith that I will do my part and return 2 pairs, as of right now I am going to have 4 pairs and have only paid for 2. IMO this is what true customer service is. It has been a long time since I was WOWed like this.

I can honestly say when I order my other 2 bibs I am now going to add some Jerseys to it and if anyone ever wants to know a good place to buy shorts, bibs, jerseys the first place I am going to recommend is love2pedal.

I have made several purchases from Dan and that story is not in the least unusual.

I too have had great customer service from them... sadly the falconi bibs don't fit me quite right... still using them right now till I find a pair the fits right as it's better then nothing... but non of that has to do with their great customer service.

The problem with all the cookies and creme is nobody ever mentions the bad. I have no problem..

Yes, they have great customer service. It really came in handy when I ordered my last two pair form them. I received one pair with a stitching across the chamois that did not look very comfy. I opened the second set and I found and even larger seam with a big gap that was fairly opened up when you talk chamois. No way was I riding those 50 miles.

I took pics and sent them to Dan immediately. He apologized then sent another two pair very quickly. So yeah good CS but I'm surprised they sent me that junk in the first place. These were shorts shorts/chamois that should have gone in the waste bin.

He did say that I should keep the two rejects and try to use them so I use them for short 5 mile mtb rides. No way will I use them on a 20+ mile ride.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking to buy some bibs and I will give these guys a look. So how did the 3XL's fit? I'm 5'8" and around 260 so it may give me an idea about what size I should go with.

Ok sorry for the delay Its been one hell of a week. The bibs showed up as promised and I tried them on. They seem to be the size I need and I will be able to tell for sure tonight after my ride. I should mention these are the deluxe bibs I have as there seems to be two choices. Anyway I couldnt be happier with this purchase.
