Once a clyde always a clyde

Today I weighed in under 200lb for the first time in ...probably 30 years. That's 85 lb down from my high point. The best thing about this forum might be that those numbers are not unusual. I have come to believe that combining riding with a better diet is just about the best way on the planet to lose weight and get in shape.
According to current wisdom I won't be at a healthy weight till I'm at 180 (I'm 6'). I can hardly conceive of that, but even 200 seemed unreachable two years ago.
Thanks to everyone. I plan to continue hanging out here. I doubt I'll ever "not" feel like a clyde and maybe I can contribute to the continued conversation.

Congratulations! You are my hero!
I'm hoping to join you soon.
I'm at 213 down from almost 253 back in April, and sub 200 is the goal.
That'll be the first time in 22years or so. I'm already at my lowest weight since then.
Actually, I've hit on a lifestyle that really doesn't seem to make it difficult to lose weight, even at 60+ years of age.

But, at 6'4" I will probably merit a Clyde designation for the duration.

I had a forum topic about "Giants" and the such.
Maybe we should have a sub chapter for "Former Clydes" ??

Congrats on a major achievement!!

I would love to hit a weight below 200. I'm at 232 now, so a sub 200 weight would take quite a while, if it's even possible for me.

But it's worth a try!

Congratulations Digibud. I am working hard to get down under 200 also. I still have 35 pounds to go but am still plugging away. You are an inspiration to us.

Awesome!! You have accomplished a very worthy goal. I'm working hard to get there too, eighteen pounds to go.

Congratulations! As someone who hasn't officially been a Clyde for a few months, I encourage you to stick around, at least until they kick us out. This forum is a good virtual water cooler.

Im at 211 and headed there, but I've already decided i will ALWAYS be a Clyde. I will never be the 140# racer. Nor do i want to be!

Congrats! I bet it feels great!

I am hoping to be under 200 in a few more weeks myself. I was 215 on the scale today. That is down 59 lbs. since February 1st.
