New Riding Distance PR - 75 Miles
Little write up about it here: https://www.280dude.com/2013/09/08/ne...e-pr-75-miles/
Went out on a 50 mile training ride to get ready for my 100 miler and ended up going 75 miles. Oh it hurt.

Make sure you go for an easy 8 mile spin tomorrow... lowest gear, keep your HR really down.

Thanks everybody. I do feel that going these distances also helps practice my nutrition and I've been conscious to do so. I'm forcing some stops along my way and also focusing on making sure I do "this and this" for hydration and such. One of the things that people ignore is taking care of yourself early. I know from past lives that if you get thirsty or hungry you have already passed the point you should have taken care of it and are now catching up. On my 100 losing weight is not the goal, making it to the end is.

If you are doing 75 by now you will be good for 100 by Oct. My first will be the week after that, and include over 6k ft of climbing. My first 70 miler (4200 ft climbing) hurt. I did 65+3200 three weeks later and felt like I could do a hundred.
In two weeks will be riding 67ish with TrojanHorse. RideWithGPS calls it 6500 ft. Actual should be more like 4500.
