Ride tomorrow
Nervous about my planned ride for tomorrow, it will be about 70 mi round trip and the longest ride ive done to date. Bringing 2 water bottles(all i have room for) and was thinking some cliff bars. I might also bring some fruit along but not sure. Any thoughts? I know this doesn't seem like a big trip to some of you guys but it is huge to me(longest to date was a 52 miler).
Thanks,
Micah

Take plenty of food and drink a bottle of water every hour or so. If you stay fueled up, hydrated and keep the pace easy, chances are that you'll do fine.
I like a peanut butter sandwich plus energy bars. Fruit is great, but not as easy to carry.
Good luck; you're going to have a great time!

I'd add that you don't really need to stress too much about what you're bringing unless there are no places to stop along your route. Even on long rides, I usually just carry enough food to carry me to a place to stop. But I don't usually eat much at all during a ride unless it's more than 40 miles, as I prefer to eat what I will need before I go. An electrolyte drink and water will take care of most of your body's basic needs if you eat properly beforehand. You might also want to carry some sliced bananas, as they're great not only for energy, but to prevent muscle pain following the ride.

Assuming your 52 mile ride was successful, I'd just stick with what you did then for this one and just tell yourself it's only a couple miles further (repeat 10x).
For my longer rides I usually just have two water bottles (or a 3L camelback depending on how hot it is) and a couple generic chocolate chip and peanut butter granola bars. I generally eat a banana at the end of my rides, but you may find you prefer eating them during the ride (or before?).
Good luck and have a great time!

Getting older and slower!
Probably too late for your ride today, but I get about 15 miles to a water bottle. I make sure I have a place to fill up along the way on all rides over 20 miles. I drink Gatorade until it gets too sweet, and then I alternate it with water. I make sure I drink a little every 15 minutes or so.
As for food, I don't eat much on a ride, even for rides over 50 miles. But I start nibbling on something like a Clif bar about 20 miles out.
Before the ride, I eat a small meal and make sure I am hydrated. After the ride I eat something with carbs and protein within 30 minutes and I take in fluids until my urine is clear.
Drink before you're thirsty; eat before you're hungry.

Just made it home, I changed up my route slightly and it ended up being 65 miles. On the first half, it had me taking a ton of backraods with nothing but big rollar coaster hills. Spent way to much time in my lowest gearing. Took me about 7 hours, and have a pounding headache, but it was still a blast!

^ I know those back road roller coasters all too well, that seems to be all the roads near me are like. Congrats on your metric century +3!
By the way, if you have a pounding headache after a ride that is usually a sign of dehydration. You probably need to drink more on your rides

Will you be able to stop or is this mostly on back roads? Places that I havent had issues are Home Depot, Lowes, and Academy in regards to bringing in my bike to use the restroom and fill up on water. If on back roads, check a map for where you could possible stop for a refill every 20 to 30 miles, this will give you a chance to refill water and grab a snack if needed.

I can only state what works for me on 50ish mile rides.
A 20 oz water bottle if there are refil station, like public park water fountains accessible. If not, extra bottles.
20 oz Gatorade G2
Two clif bars-often just use one.
Kashi Trail mix bar for after ride.
Find what works for you. Carry about twice what you think you will need for the first few rides, then taper it down as you find how much you actually need. Adjust for temperature and hills.

Glad you made it home yesterday! Summer and fall bring a lot cyclists to that area with the Military Ridge Trail ending there. I try to talk to them if possible, hearing some of the stories of their travels are pretty neat. Glad I got a chance to talk to ya on the side of the road!

The headache is water and food. Push water after the ride and eat carbs soon after riding to get refueled. I'm just knocking on the threshold of depleting both water and food on the rides I do and a few rides have given me long headaches as a result. The carbs seem to help with muscle aches and cramps as well.
