I made the mileage last month but missed the weight by one pound.
This month I am going for 250 miles which is +50 from last month
I hope to weigh 180 which will be a 9 lb loss if I make it.
I better get started so I am off for a morning ride!

if I believe the scale I have dropped from 201.2 to 195.6 in the past couple weeks, just watching what I'm eating, some binge eating at night, and rigorous 20 minute bike trainer ride in the morning is the cornerstone of my workout, along with light jogging during evening. So I am physically out of the clyde zone, but of course remain one in my mind because I have a history of my weight cycling from 195 up to 215 and back; the nadir usually occuring this time of year, so I am right on schedule. It feels great, I just have to watch super careful, what happens to start the upward trend again, historically, it is Christmas, when I usually gain 8 lbs in one week eating holiday food and staying up late eating in front of DVD marathons.

However, my stated goal for the month of October 2013 is to shave off another 5 lbs by end of the month. I'd really like to lighten up for the local cx race series. 190 lbs (=86.2 kg on the basement doctors scale) would be a personal "recent" 10 year historic low, nearing college days where I was 185 on a 6-even frame. Wish me luck.

ps: in summary .. .

start weight: 196.2
goal weight: 190.0

The last two months have gone well, so let's do it again... always aiming to go down a middle digit (this month 2, due to the slight miss last month, the 2 didn't change to a 1)..

Starting Weight: 220.0
Goal Weight: 209.9
Distance on Bike: 400km

450 miles and 5 lbs, That's a 50 mile increase from Sept but I'm in South Texas so weather shouldn't be much of a factor

Starting at 214

Also did 22.6 miles this evening

Did a little backtracking over the last few weeks and am up about 3 pounds... Stupid business trip to California and visitors at work and overtime to keep them happy. Lots of free meals at nice places. Wouldn't have been a problem if I could have gotten any miles in.

Goal for the month is to get back to 188 from 191, need to undo the damage from September. I foresee time pedaling on a trainer this month.

Mileage goal: 250 with a little of those as possible on the trainer.

10/1 I went 2.6mi on foot in 46:58

10/3 I went 2.6mi on foot in.... 41:29!!
--I found an extra walking gear this morning, and increased my "run" distance again to the tune of a 5:30 cut!

I have saddle time planned for Friday and Sunday. Sunday is also the end of our family 6-week challenge, so I'll be taking measurements too *fingers crossed*

oh HECK no! LOL! My best mile (in boot camp at 18) was right at 8:00! I'm just stoked I cut 5:30 from my overall 2.6 mile time.

nice improvement ! keep going !

I didn't ride on the 1st, but went riding yesterday and this morning, for a total of 29.62 km.
Good thing I went early in the morning, the wind has been getting stronger and stronger with 40-45 knts today and will hit 50knts friday and saturday.
I have a ride planned on sunday morning though.
