Did somewhere ~260 miles last month out of a goal of 300. Had I not crashed then I probably would have made it. Shooting for 300 this month, weather permitting it shouldn't be an issue.

Wasn't even close to reaching my goal last month but I blame that on being sick for the last couple weeks. October is probably my last chance to reach my goal of 300 miles in one month, and once again I'm going to attempt it.

A couple prearranged rides include a 50 mile ride next weekend and my FIRST metric century the weekend after. This week's forecast looks great, an open opportunity to get in some miles - if I can get myself motivated.

I'm tired from last month and the weather will turn cold sometime. Have no illusions of riding 500 miles this month. I will shoot for 250 miles but don't expect to bust my hump getting there.

10-1 13.4 miles

I hit my original goal of 100 miles for Sept then I upped it to 200 but the last week slipped away from me on my motorcycle.

October Goal will be 100. I plan on getting in as much motorcycle riding as possible this month.

Shooting for 300 miles in October. (Broke 300 miles for the first time in September, hoping I can do it again. But it's getting cold here in the Rockies.)

seems the most I've managed in a month this year has been 130 (back in July) I tried for more Aug but failed miserably with a mix of laziness and getting sick... but the last week I pulled over 80 of those miles...

so as a compromise we're going to go with the 180 miles that I failed from Aug... I hope to do better with the milder weather we should get but I've got more classes starting at the end of the month and rain tends to be a huge factor this time of year, I'm also planning to start at doing some light weight training at the gym in the next week...

so 180 miles is the official goal

My balance was 13 activities on the bike for 43 hrs and 11 activities running for 24 hours or 16% of my total mileage (OMG; I had to have hit my head harder than thought!)

Did you run AND bike on most of those days? I'm time limited w/ a baby at home so half my workouts are at lunch w/o time for a double dip day after work.

interesting tid bit....of my 6 cycling days, 2 of those were centuries

10/2 - 12.26 miles

MTD 12.26 miles/ 180 miles
MTG 167.74

after a TON of rain today (2.25") it decided to dry out so I could do my normal short night loop, I did it about 15 seconds faster then my previous best time, I think I need to add a few miles to the loop to put it a little closer to a full hr of riding... earlier today I tweaked my saddle position a little and has for the most part felt better, still need to get a longer stem and also noticed my rear wheel feels like it's got a bit of a drag on it, it's not the brakes, I think it's the bearing adjustment is a little off, my cone wrenches are in the mail (need to repack the hubs in another wheelset that I got with my road bike) and when they get here I'll take a look at the bearings and axle on the trucker wheel, a smoother spinning wheel would be a nice thing...

anyway feels like a good ride to start Oct... thing my big goal for this month is going to be to ride my age on my bday in a few weeks (34 y/o on the 21st)

Many of the days were run and ride.

I won't be forgetting that little "pick up marathon" then 35 mile ride for quite some time.

Note to others that may read this. If you wake up and wonder.. "What's it like to run 26 + miles?" GO BACK TO BED, you are not well!

I'm also a member of the 50+ deal so I've got no restrictions such as kids to keep me from doing runs and rides the same day. Lunch is an hour so that's a 10K, maybe 8 miles if I can squeeze in another 15 minutes. then a couple hours after work and blammo.. a 10k run and 35 mile ride day . That's my schedule for Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.

I can't kill them all and that is not a great way to manage a herd however I'll try to put 7 in the freezer; that's what we use a year unless I go to making a lot of hot dogs, jerky, bacon, sausage and other specialty deals.
