Need help with bike selection/introduction

Hello all, I'm a student in California and wanting to purchase a bike to ride daily. However, I find it hard to find a bike that will support my weight, 340 pounds and 6 feet tall. Any suggestions on any good bikes?

Are any of those good? Thanks!

Don't you have hills to climb in California?

I would not recommend a single speed, if you have hills.

However, I would recommend the Fuji Nevada 2.1 mountain bike from www.performancebike.com

* You actually get to test ride the bike at a brick and mortar, when you go to pick it up. You can refuse delivery at that time, for either an exchange or refund.
