Indoor trainers and videos - what does yoose use?

So I have been using a YouTube video posted by GCN (see below) for training indoors right now because I can't ride yet with my hand still broken and it is too cold for me to run.

Does anyone else have any good videos that they use? Preferably free ones online? I'd love to see what other ride to so I can change it up from time to time.

And I said yoose because I am from Chicago and we just do things like that.

The video of visceral hate:

I haven't tried videos. I use the B52s first album, played really loud. Lasts about 40 minutes, and it's all I can do to keep my HR >120 for that time.

I have an old Vitamaster Wind Rider... it's not much but it will make me work! The electronics on it are long gone, so all I can do at the moment is fire up my stopwatch and go to town. Last night, after the gremlins were all in bed, I fired up an episode of Dexter with the goal of spinning for the entire episode... I made it 25 minutes... BUT, I was drenched in sweat, so I was definitely doing something...

Primus works for me :-) This album in particular is timed well and a motivator.

I am going to try a sufferfest video but with my own music.

I am using episodes of Breaking Bad and my heart rate monitor / Garmin 510. Get my heart rate up to 150 and keep it there for 45 minutes. I also do intervals on some days. I may have to try out one of those cycling videos one day.

I will play some other music and just follow the GCN video I posted above, and the music consists of "angry music" or "epics" depending on my mood. I have a lot of music on Youtube in playlists that I use at times when home. But I also use the music out on solo rides and try to pick songs with a similar beat to maintain a cadence.

The real question is do you sing along to Rock Lobster?

I don't know about any free videos online, but I will tell you that Trainer Road is well worth the $10 per month that it costs if you have a compatible trainer. With 100's of workouts and virtual power, it actually makes it pretty cool. I generally play youtube videos of triathlons or other documentaries while I do the workouts. They are also compatible with some Sufferfest videos. If you have never done one of those you better hold on to your hats. I downloaded 3 of them and they are un-freaking-believably tough. Especially when you pair it with the virtual power of Trainer Road.

I've been looking for some videos of rides through hilly country that are just continuous video of the ride with some good hammering music in the background. My gym has three decent spin bikes but their only DVDs are of spin classes with an instructor barking commands while you watch other people spin indoors. They are geared more toward the indoor aerobics crowd that road cycling training. Better than nothing but not very inspirational and after the third or fourth time through, the instructors just seem to drone on.

FWIW The Sufferfest has a money back guarantee, if you do not feel you got good value suffering for your purchase they will refund. At about $13 each try one.

I've just started with the Sufferfest online videos and think they are great. I'm really beginning to push myself to make improvements.

I have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. I ride when watching college hoops, I crank up the resistance and ride out of the seat during commercial breaks or until my knee gives out.
