Hi Everybody! It has been a long time since I have been here, I just checked and it is exactly one year ago today from my last post. I am here again for the same reason, to lose weight and get advice from everybody. The life style change I did before did not last long. I gained weight, had higher cholesterol and started taking blood pressure pills. Working in a kitchen was not helping lol.
I have started over again, 6 weeks ago. Have cut out a lot of the bad foods and have lost 24 pounds already. I am 6 foot and 253 pounds right now. I still do not have a bike but hopefully that will change soon. I am thinking of a Trek FX series. I am happy to be back on here and to get back on track. Thanks!
It has seemed slow lately since the only people riding are PJ and his Cali crew. And the few winter diehards that will brave the cold. I only commute now and use the trainer when indoors.

test rode one and it was very comfortable. i personally went with a road bike because it felt better for my back (weird, but sitting upright hurts my back more), but if it makes you want to ride it then it's the right bike.
got out today and probably tomorrow because of this unseasonably warm east coast weekend.
the moral for us, and everyone else trying to lose weight, is you can't outride/run/lift your fork. you're on the right path eating better and biking is a great low impact way to get your cardio up and bad stuff in your body down.
