Sorry to hear that Recumbenttoad.

I got a new set of road shoes, a base layer shirt and a set of cold weather riding tights. Now I just need to pick up some gloves and winter tires (slicks aren't going to cut it) and I should be good to ride this winter.

If you wear a helmet just rotate the logo around to the front and hide it under your helmet.

Nothing bike related, but I did buy myself a new pistol.

I try real hard not to wear anything with branding.....how can I cover up the lettering on this nice gift?

Black sharpie pen or some other laundry-resistance marking pen over the lettering. Then if the giver of the gift asks, you just have to say the black colour of the cap ran when it was washed.

Maybe mask it off then a light smear of black silicone?

Like Pam and mrodgers, I have made mutual agreements with the other adults in my life to stop the madness of spending on knickknacks. The grand kids get stuff, though all are old enough now to have figured out the whole Santa scam.

I got myself something at an after Christmas sale. A copy of CyberLink Power Director Video Editor, so now I can actually post some of my Contour videos. All those free editors I tried, like QuickTime, and Microsoft's free editors were horrible. I also got a 3Tb USB drive to store it all. Stay tuned;)

My wife and I decide long ago not to get each other gifts for Christmas. Instead we do big birthday presents.

However, my mom and dad got me a new Thule T2 bike rack. I bought the extra extension and now I can fit all 4 mountain bikes on the back of my truck! This is the pic that I sent my parents thanking them for the rack! The two bikes on the end (white and black Hardrocks) were my two boys Christmas presents this year. That is the only thing that they received from us.

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=358186 A belated present to myself after having won my fantasy football pool...the latest in the never ending attempt to stop the inevitable 10 - 15 pound weight gain that occurs in North Central Ohio from November to March ;-)

I got some cash, which I used to buy some shop tools I've been lusting over for a long time. The Park Pro pedal wrench, a fourth-hand tool, SRAM cable cutters, some other stuff, too.

That's a nice rack! We used a rack like that to race RAAM as a relay team. It was nice because we had to transition every 15 min. or so, and we could load/unload bikes very easily and very quickly.
