deal on trekking bars
I have noticed that a number of Clyde status riders, including my spouse, like butterfly/trekking bars. Today only Nashbar is having a sale on trekking bars, $14.99, plus free shipping. Can't beat that deal. Thought I would pass it along.
I am pretty frugal, and was keeping an eye on craigslist hoping to find a deal on bar ends so I could just add on to my existing mtb bars. I got tire do waiting. Checked online and saw that trekking bars were the same price as some bar ends of questionable quality. Got the trekking bars, and couldn't be happier.
Well, maybe happier with some drop bars and nice tape, but at the time I got the trekking bars I had too much gut to use drops.
I could re-position my trekking bars for a more aero position to chose from, but I like the way they are and don't want to mess with it. Problem solved by getting a bike with drop bars! Ahem, in addition to my bike with trekking bars.
