I never saw the Animal House movie, just random clips from it from time to time, like "TOGA!", "you're a P_I_G pig!", "I'm a pimple" etc.

I'm old enough to get "senile citizen" discounts everywhere I go!

Thanks for the explanation, though!

On pace for my 24 hours on the trainer this month. Still not sure where my endurance above aerobic went, but that's OK. Just need to be ready for a century right out of the gate. Started eating more and my weight's up a bit, but I think it's mostly muscle since I'm down another hole in the belt. Even just mostly lurking in this forum has kept me going on my weight loss. It's pretty much been the right place at the right time.

I thought 1 hour trainer sessions were bad enough.

I did 14 grueling miles in the Tour de Basement today. "Journey to the Center of the Earth" was on the Fox Movie Channel, so I was appropriately entertained. Gotta love those lizards with all the fake horns and stuff glued on to them to create fierce dinosaurs!!

Goal: 200 miles
MTD: 132 miles

I am not going to make my goal this month, I was a bit optimistic I think. I'm sitting at 166 miles which isn't bad considering I've only done one road ride, there rest have been on my cross and mtbs.

.

Well, I said I wanted to shoot for 300 miles this month, but I doesn't look like I'm quite going to make that. I'm at 208.3 miles so far for the month, and I'll get another ~55 miles in commuting in the next week, and I've got one 8 mile long additional ride planned, but that still leaves me nearly 30 miles shy, and it doesn't look like I'm going to have the time to squeeze that in. Might take the long way in to work on Monday and a little longer route home on Sunday morning though, so I should be a little over 275 miles at least.

If February weren't so short i'da made my goal!

Wow, I got my first road ride today in over a month. The temps got over 50*F, there's no salt on the road and the wind wasn't too bad.

Did 25.26 miles with some good climbs. What a difference from riding the rollers in the basement!

Goal: 200 miles
MTD: 172.26 miles

Would have made my goal for the month yesterday if I wasn't being dumb and not resting more after a two and a half hour session less than 24 hours before... Felt good at the start and everything gave out 30 minutes from the end of the workout.

2/20 1:45, 28.41 trainer miles
2/22 2:30, 41.03
2/23 1:15, 21.59

Count: 17 Activities
Time: 23:30:19 h:m:s
Distance: 388.16 mi

half hour to go on 24 hour goal for the month. Might need to take a couple days off and invest in some chamois cream. Might make 26 hours and 425 pretend miles, though. Should be more than ready for Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride Apr. 28. I'm just not willing to ride outside when it is -10F every morning, it seems.
