my first sportive
hi all ,wow i ave finally booked my first ever sportive

my hard work is slowly paying off i am down from 18.2 stone to 16 stone
if this goes well i shall enter more.
need more training as im doing a charity bike ride from swindon uk to paris in september
i ave to say i am a little nervous any advice would be appreciated

I'm not 100% sure what a sportive is, is it just a non-race group ride? That one looks pretty sweet. As for advice, you don't need to ride the full distance before your event but I would suggest getting some miles in, say at least 200 miles a month in the two preceding months. If your normal training schedule has you putting in more than that you'll be fine.
If you want to be competitive or fast at your event, you'd want more miles of course.
Swindon to paris looks cool too - is that a multi-day supported ride? How good are you at swimming with your bike?
