Yeah, you'll want a compound; multiple in fact.

I think I'm improving, but it's hard to tell because my average speed and time is still the same. I have 3 loops I ride of slight various lengths that all pretty much follow 70% of the same roads in the beginning. I am riding more in the 2nd chain ring low gear in the back up the hills as opposed to dropping to the small chain ring and the "big" hill I was stopping halfway up to let my heart rate come down a bit, and last night I climbed without stopping halfway or at the top. It is possible that I am slowing more on the downhills because of the gravel, I'm on the brakes the whole time and riding not much faster downhill than I am climbing back up

I am getting ready to ride my first metric at the end of next month with the Tour de Cure so I've been trying to pick my distance up. I have had to miss a couple t-ball practices for my son, and even ride on little sleep(I work over night so i sleep during the best riding time). All in all I guess riding, and life, are all about balance.

4/22: 15 miles. Took a sick day to replace the fuel pump in my truck, which required lowering the gas tank and instead of fighting with rusty bolts I just cut them off, so I needed to ride to the hardware store for new ones. Any reason to ride my bike is a good reason

MTD: 109 miles (exceeded April's goal with eight days to go!)

4-22 winds strong enough to warrant a high wind warning from NOAA/ National weather service so I did another trainer session. Sufferfest Downward Spiral. 15.7 miles.

Or... just go get you a SuperSix High Mod Team
considering my LBS doesn't want to touch the bike. They said to take supersix back to where I bought it so they can do their full bike inspection or just give me a letter saying that it's unsafe to ride. So the bike is/will likely be replaced, I can't trust riding that thing again after being in a head on crash w/ a car. The newer version supersix EVO is eye catching. Also looking at the spesh 11sp ultegra Venge expert (same price point). Sad that the Orange venge comes only as w frameset at a crazy price

Had to take the youngest to the doctors last night. Winter returned today. Don't know about tomorrow. Rain Friday, wedding Saturday, Birthday party Sunday, working on my birthday with probable overtime on Monday, the end of April isn't going to be kind for me getting any more miles in.

Now that spring is finally here (except for today) I can't wait til summer with warm mornings. I really enjoyed heading out early on the weekends before my wife left for work.
