Way to go. I tell you some of you amaze me. I don't know how you get in the miles that you do. I rode 200 miles and felt like I spent all my free time on my bike. My hat is off to you all, maybe someday I'll turn in a 500+ mile month.

I was able to go for a ride today (first time this month) for two miles pulling a Burley trailer with a 55 pound three year old (he is very tall). I think I will go die now. I did get my 35 year old 12 speed (Centurion Le Mans) tuned and ready to ride on the trainer. I also have lost about 12 pounds in the last three weeks (diet and more exercise). I was able to do this due to taking the day off of work to watch my youngest son as our regular nanny is visiting my brother for the week (my mother-in-law is our granny nanny, and no she lives on her own, and yes I do pay her) and our back up sitter came down ill.

Thank you all for silently encouraging me to lose as I started at 390 +/- five pounds.

Last day of April! Ended up with 89 total miles, only 11 days of riding (first day outside was 4/12). Did a lot better than I thought.

Ended the month on a high note with a first place finish in my class last night in our local mtb race series. Was a hot afternoon and the course had plenty of climbing ... perfect conditions for me!

Mileage for April totaled up to 640 miles.

Bring on May.

Well...

I failed to log, but got some miles.

Finished up the month with 370 miles, 26,000' (and passed 100,000' for the year yesterday!) at an AS of 14.9 mph (including touring SF with my Dad on rental hybrids and a couple of longer rides with the girl.)

Nowhere near my goal in distance, but over 2 weeks out of town will do that!
