Congrats. I quit smoking after a 25 year habit in 2009 (you know in the service if you are on break and not smoking you get put to work). Good for you on the mileage.

Yeah picked it up in the army myself... crave a smoke... mash hard to the end of the driveway and back. A friend told me that I was biting off more than I could chew by trying to lose weight, get fit, and stop smoking at the same time... Doing it all at once is really motivating me though. Its a trip that out of nowhere the bike has become the focal point of it all... But it's a blessing and im grateful for it. And for all of you.

Quit smoking 7 years ago. Don't miss it. Every now and then they smell really good while other times I cannot stand the smell. I do not miss them either. Since then I have been back to biking and have not looked back. There is some great feeling of accomplishment after going out on a 20 mile ride. Cannot explain it, but it feels good.

thank you everybody for taking a second guys... The ongoing conversation here keeps me motivated. My wife was laughing at me because i rode the bike to the end of the road to get the mail.... Lol. I keep walking by it and have to remind myself that im taking a day off to recoup. On a side note my 3 yr. Old daughter got a big girl bike a couple months ago and has refused to get on it saying she likes her tricycle better. Today she walked up to me and asked if we could get her big girl bike out of the barn because she wanted to ride with daddy... Really looking forward to the day when we can ride around the neighborhood together !
