Write lengthy rants on BF, and any other internet forum that catches you fancy. Then compile it all into a book. It may not sell, but might help you avoid the Oreo's.

I was gonna say, I don't think that's going to work well with your injuries. I got a 5D in 308 for Christmas and haven't use it once! I finally got a scope for it a couple weeks ago so it's just excuses keeping me away now. Lemme know when your shoulder can hack it and I'll meet you down there somewhere.

And LabRat2k3 - there'll be none of that suppressor talk here in the PRK. It's verboten. he said "break".

My mistake. I read AAC-SD 308 but my brain saw AAC 762-SD. Sometimes I forget that the whole world isn't like my hillbilly home. Hope the authorities don't have you pinned to the floor while searching your place for the evil suppressor you talked about online . Sorry for the slight thread drift.

Perhaps you can study law and plan your retirement?
I'm glad to hear you are on the mend.

It wouldn't take much effort to pin me down. I might be screaming in pain though. But they won't find any evil suppressor in my home. The AAC-SD just came with a thread protector fancy nut looking thing.

TH, what scope did you go with? I got mrad SWFA SS fixed x16 power in between Seekins rings and weaver 20moa rail. Day 1,sighting the scope in at 100 yds then pushed out to 1100+ yards. Nothing in between. Good way to break in a newb LOL

Got a Bushnell Elite Tactical 3.5-21x50mm Matte Black Tactical Rifle Scope and stuck it on a Larue 20 moa rail with some american rifle rings... and I *need* to get that thing to the range.

Oh, and I mistyped, it's a 5R, not a 5D. I had cameras on the brain, I guess.

Yah I figured you ment 5r milspec. My shooting buddy has the same in 300 winmag. he just starting reload with 209 grain bombs. I almost got the 5r but like the twist of the AAC-SD better for what my plans

Dang, sorry to hear this! When I broke my foot the pain took care of the slow down. My one piece of advice is to guard your weight like a hawk. I so regret the weight I gained while off the bike/running.

Cooking is therapeutic for me. I don't do it nearly enough, but if I can find a nice recipe that'll take a little while to make, I find it helps me unwind. It doesn't have to be unhealthy, like desserts or anything like that. It could be as simple (and tasty) as a pot pie or a chicken and vegetable soup.

You could also get an Xbox or Playstation. Those are fun, as well.

When you are able consider a recumbent bicycle. Your life will be forever changed. Sorry about your injuries. Sounds like you need a good lawyer.

What a bummer!

Best of luck finding something to keep you occupied.

+1. Unfortunately I can attest to this problem as well.

I think focusing on something to occupy mostly your mind will be the way to go by the sounds of your injury. Research a topic of interest, read a few books.

Sorry to hear of your accident, I wish you a speedy recovery!
