Previous - 126 miles.

7/15 - 8 miles
7/16 - 7 miles
7/17 - 8 miles
7/19 - 35 miles
7/20 - 19 miles

203 miles MTD. 3 miles over my original goal with a week and a half to go. I should finish with 300+ miles for the month. Wow! In may, I did less than 100 in my first month. I know I'll plateau somewhere soon just due to the number of hours available to me on the weekends, but this part of my cycling career is fun as heck. Every weekend I go further or faster (or both) than I ever have before. Good times.

Milestone met.

7/20: 62.4 miles. Got a late start, the mercury had already rose. Planned for 25 miles and decided at 25 mile mark to keep going, hit 30 miles and decided to keep going. Only made it 1.2 miles further before needing to turn back due to a trail closure Filled both my water bottles twice along the way and stopped for a burger and ice cream at the 25 mile mark but otherwise I just kept on moving (no choice really, if I stopped for any length of time along my route the mosquitoes would have swarmed). At the end of my ride I found my average speed to be 14.3 mph, a completely surprising result! My first 50 miler was barely finished last year at around 11 mph. More surprising was at the end of the 62.4 miles I felt like I still had enough gas to do it all over again...

MTD: 197.9 miles (Goal: 200 miles.. With a week and a half left I will more than likely exceed this.)

345mi MTD and weight down to 235 (lost 15lbs since the beginning of May). Two personal bests this weekend: On Saturday I hit my highest top speed ever of 31mph. This was a nice downhill on what will be my new weekday/hilly route. On Sunday I completed my first 60mi solo ride. This is on my mountain bike, I'm moving up to a road bike in less than 2 weeks.

Yesterdays commute brings my mileage for the month up to 424 miles. Have been mixing it up with some of my commute on the road and some on the dirt with either CX or mountain bike.

Closing in on my mileage goal of 500.

Other objective for the month is to put in some CX skills practice for the season coming up. The DIY PVC pipe practice barriers are dusty and in the garage waiting to be brought out. Need to bust those out a couple times before the end of the month.

They just announced the schedule for this fall ... and I want to give it a go this year. Hoping to find some locals I can practice with. It'd be my first time.

15 miles this morning. Butt was sore then my spirit was hurt. A guy passed me like I was standing still. Then my spirits increased because I seen him struggle on the hill we were heading to. So much for a fancy road bike and all the cool riding gear. It still comes down to leg movement. A little later in the ride I was kicked to the curb again but this tome it wasn't one rider it was 2. They pedaled by me like I was standing still again, this time I was going up a hill, but the girl made me feel a little better when she had to get on the pedals to keep up with her dad.

23.4 gm mtd

I have to kick this lazitus.

Mtd 425.3/400 miles

Yay! Let's see how close to 600 I can get. August should be interesting, riding the Tour de Pines for 75 miles and then I have 8 days in Iowa with absolutely nothing to do.

7-22 9.9 miles, would have been longer but first noticed a low tire then upon adding air found out why. A gash in the tire more than a 1/4" long with the tube partly sticking out on my cx bike. Dang, not sure if I can boot the tire, it had lots of life left in it and was not cheap.

MTD 629 miles

Just looked at my Op in this thread, my goal then was 600 miles. I'm over that now plus I am planning to ride a 93.5 mile ride on Sunday and we still have a whole week of July left.

6/21- No ride but I spent the evening running around a baseball diamond with a bunch of 9 year olds as I was substitute coaching my daughter's little league team, 2 more scrimmages and she's done for the year thank God.
6/22- Due to thunderstorms all afternoon I was stuck inside so I decided to try 30 minutes of high intensity training on the trainer, I was definitely feeling the burn.
6/24 : 20.2 miles. Back outside, feelin' great! I set off to do my usual 10 miles which you can see turned into a double. Got a 3 day weekend coming up for no apparent reason, I plan on using it

MTD:218 miles (goal was 200, shooting for 300 just for the hell of it)

Be careful, that's how it starts! Three yeas ago just thought I would give a try and see how I like it. Signed up for the 30 minute entry-level C race. What a rush! Got hooked. This Fall racing in three series (about 20 races) and moving up a class to race for an hour with the fast kids ... not that I'm any good, just more licorice and beer handups there.

Well, I'd be in the 30-minute Cat 5 group, and I think I'm in much better shape than last year, so I'm sure I could handle it. The races are already in my calendar ... so we'll see

I'm having trouble finding my old posts to update they are so long ago, LOL. Ran out behind the house. Tried yet another configuration of the roads to avoid gravel. Ended up only 7 miles. Well, that's more than I've done since last weekend anyways. Heck, I think my coworker whom I have as friends on MapMyRide is passing me with monthly mileage and he's walking around town.

7/2 - 16 miles
7/3 - 7 miles
7/5 - 3 miles
7/10 - 12 miles
7/14 - 10 miles
7/16 - 11 miles

7-23 a failed attempt of a trainer ride. I kept feeling a rough bearing through the pedals, my bb is due to be changed and in fact it is on order at the LBS, don't think it is my rear wheel but it could also be my trainer but when I spin that by hand it feels glass smooth. I hope it is not my trainer as I really don't want to spend that much money right now.

7-24 LBS group ride 22.8 miles

mtd 657 miles
