    Well done!
With every ride, I get a little stronger. I gain a little stamina. I gain a little pride. And so I await the next ride...

New personal bests are cool :-). Did 30 on the clock myself today, not quite a PB (within .25 mph avg speed of my PB)but decent with the wind today :-)......I usually measure at 30 miles, it is another 1.5 miles on home from the 30 mile mark.

Neat. You expended one day's worth of calories for a dieter. I wonder if that's like getting another day in your life?

I wish! Going to bed with a deficient calorie count, with out counting the ride.

I did back to back 20 mile rides (record for me) yesterday and today. Since i only started cycling on Memorial Day I'll consider it a great success (and indeed, celebrated by eating a peach fritter donut at one of my hometown's plentiful donut establishments )

The important part would be to replicate this. I can't wait to get back on the trail tomorrow and Labor Day, so I would do 80 miles in 4 days. If you have this wild urge to do this again tomorrow and Labor Day, then go for it. It only gets better from here!

That's great! My longest ride was 33.5 miles and I almost bonked since I skipped breakfast. Never do that again!

    Congrats!

And imho, I would not(!) trust the calorie expenditure listed.
    ~900/hr is a bunch.

I was joking with a friend that MFP awards you 1750 calories for peeling a banana , peel one for a friend too and you get 3500 :-), I limit myself to eating back 100 a day. A friend who is a time trialist gives herself 400 cals per hour for riding or racing, and I'm sure she burns more than I do probably :-).

I learned this the hard way. I was using Endomondo and thought I had a much larger deficit than is even possible. I now use a heart rate monitor and strava. The results seem much more realistic and the scale has started to move down.... when i'm disciplined to use MFP to record food.

Figure an average of 500 per hour of moderate cycling is about the norm. 1.5 hours, 750 calories seems reasonable. An HRM will help narrow things to a more accurate number.

    Congratulations on your record ride!
