I LOVE my Nutribullet!!! Unexpectent weight loss!
Well alittle off topic from C & A and cycling but I think relevant here... I just wanted to share my experience with the Nutribullet I recently purchased.
I have been concerned about eating better and taking in more nutrients especially from fruits and vegetables (I tend to love my carbs!!! You now the bad ones like bread, chips, fries etc). I wasn't really concerned about weight loss; although, lord knows, I need and want to lose weight. One of my biggest isues is with stomach issues I've had. I deal with alot of food allergies and generally any prepared product makes me sick. Pretty much have a sandwich, and I am sick the rest of the day.
So anyway I brought a Nutribullet Pro 900. I started out with a "shake" for breakfast but now do one for breakfast and lunch. Very easy and simple to prepare. In the morning, I prepare breakfast and lunch. I add a cup of fresh spinach, a cup of frozen fruit ( today its dark cherries and blackberries; yesterday was pinapple, orange and strawberry), some rolled oats (long cooking ones but not cooked), and some whey powder to prepare one meal and then do it again while everything is out. Blast it up per directions and drink. For lunch I just bring my drink in a cooler and sip it when hungry.
The reason I am posting... first off, I feel better - I am not sick at all during the day and I have more energy - it may be in my head but who cares. Second, I am losing weight without trying. In the past month have dropped 10 lbs and that includes going on vacation for 2 weeks visiting my family in the South - think "horrible for you" southern foods! (I brought the Nutribullet with me). I am not trying to lose weight - its just happening. Other added benefits - since the vegetable and fruits are added whole and totally shredded and "blasted" into liquid, I am getting a fair amount of roughage/fiber which means I am now really "regular" (sorry if TMI but when you get old that stuff is important).
The Nutribullet Pro 900 is alittle over $100 and the Nutribullet 600 is around $90... well worth the money.

I picked one up at costco a few months ago and am surprised how much I use it on everything from daily protein shakes to cocktail sauce. I have expressly been trying to lose weight and the Nutri-bullet was part of my plan. It, or a combination of things most likely, has worked, I've lost about 35 pounds.

My wife got one about two years ago. It has been great. We added fruits, greens and veggies. We used protein powders also.
It has worked great and I like it more than the juicer my wife just bought. It is easy to clean and use. The juicer is a PITA and you loose so much good fiber bits.
I have found that the rinsing of the blades has become a problem. They have never been soaked (I do all the dishes) and moisture has still penetrated the inner mechanism making it harder to turn by hand than when new. I have not taken the chance to disassemble it and try a clean out yet, but that should be enough, then maybe coat with olive oil.
Like you mention it is amazing and so portable. We took it on several vacations as well.
Overall I would give this a glowing recommendation also. It helped to keep weight down and made my wife eat more fruit which she is otherwise not prone to eat. My son also loved them and we make popsicles a lot in the summer. Well worth the money we spent.
We like to add coconut milk and they were my favorite with mango and blueberry and some spinach.
It certainly helps with regularity.
TMI sidebar: I eat a lot of fresh fruit and dried fruit (figs, dates, apricots) and I get worried when I do not get my regular bm. It kind of scares me for my future (I'm only 34) for the amount of fruit I eat now and the occasional lack of regularity. My wife and in-laws are amazed I do not spend all day on the can.

I got one about 2 months ago. Putting frozen bananas in it (no other ingredients) has totally cured my sweet tooth. It's like eating high end ice cream.

I love mine. It has helped me lose somewhere around 25 lbs now. I make a smoothie ever day and when you add the spinach, kale, chard, you get your greens with all the benefits without cooking them out.

I haven't tried making popicles yet or venturing far away from a "nutriblast" but will do so... has anyone added avocado to their shakes? I suspect it will add the same texture as a banana but wonder if it will add an off-taste.
Also I found out I don't like adding milk or yogurt to my shakes... it causes a weird foaminess I don't like. But I am so happy with just spinach and frozen fruit, don't need to do much more!
Another thing I want to try is a coffee cooler... anyone have a good recipe?

I wished I liked bananas more... I admit it makes a nicely textured treat but I just can't get past the banana taste!

Avocados are great, but no more than half, they really thicken up the smoothie. They taste great.
We usually use yoghurt not milk, or just water. We also like seeds (sunflower or pumpkin) and nuts (cashews); they are very strong tasting usually.
Never tried a coffee cooler.

Freeze shots of espresso in ice cube trays or small plastic containers, throw a couple of frozen espresso cubes in The bullet with a cup of almond, coconut, or cows milk, add sweetener if you desire and blend it.

Does anyone make predominantly leafy green smoothies successfully with the Nutribullet? I eat plenty of fruit, but not enough greens. I wouldn't mind using a little fruit in an otherwise all-veggie smoothie to add to the flavor, but I'd love to know how the Nutribullet handles, for example, mostly kale and carrots. I can't afford (and hope I wouldn't need) a Blendtec or Vitamix to make these.

Leafy greens work great. Chard, spinach and kale. We tried romaine once and it tasted really strong and not pleasant.
The frozen espresso shots mix sounds great.

- fresh spinach
- 1/3 banana frozen
- frozen fruit
- thin slice of lemon
- 1/3 celery stick chopped
- 1/3 carrot chopped
- spoonful of powdered chia and flax
- spoonful of Nutribullet Superboost
- 1/3 cup of Ocean Spray Cranberry Cherry Juice
- 1/3 C almond milk
- spoonful of whey powder
- three ice cubes
I clean the blades of by N'bullet using a thick paste of baking soda and water.
No problem with water seeping inside of the blade mechanism.
The "chef afficionados" would prefer you get yourself a Vitamix for around $4-500. Okeeeee.

That sounds fantastic, and I do need some ideas for sweets.

I tend to stick with the fruit, green veggie, nut and water nutriblast but have a friend that regularly makes veggie only smoothies (as he needs to watch sugar intake). His are usually tomato, spinach or kale, celery, carrot, soy beans, parsley and rosemary, hot sauce, salt and pepper. He loves it. Basically put something in with the REQUIRED amount of liquid and the entire solution becomes liquid (although I tend not to blast it to much as I like the bits and pieces).
A Blendtec and Vitamix are blenders and operate differently (and do other things - the Nutribullet does one thing - one thing only). I considered both before purchasing the nutribullet but decided I really only wanted to make "smoothies" so the Nutribullet is perfect (and as you know way cheaper). If I also planned on food processing, blending, making sauces etc., I would have purchased the other machines. I did use my Nutribullet to "blast" roasted butternut squash, nutmeg, parslary, mushrooms (cooled after roasting) etc for soup and it worked great!!!
There is a website - I like its nutriliving.com or something like that that has alot of recipes on it, more than contained in the books that come with the product.
