IF there is no time limit to your lifetime warranty(s) I would say you have a very case for the bike not performing to expectations based on mileage. Most of us would expect 15,000 miles from a decent set of wheels and would expect the frame to last through several such wheels. I don't think any of us would be "satisfied" with a frame that failed at 15,K.

It sounds like you have the manager on your side. Hopefully he can negotiate a good resolution for you.

*Update*
Got a call this morning that my new frame has been ordered and is on the way to performance. Fuji/Advanced Sports would not budge on their offer of either the downgraded frame as a straight warranty or the upgraded frame for $450 even when prodded by the purchasing manager for Performance Bikes however Performance is stepping to the table and covering the cost of the upgraded frame .
I am quite disappointed in Fuji's response but grateful for Performance, and specifically my local store manager for backing me.
I have ordered the new bottom bracket (ultegra BB86 compatible) and seat post shim (27.2 to 31.6) I it looks like all three will be here by the end of the week.

I really had no knowledge of how lifetime frame warranties worked until reading this! Wow, this is actually fairly impressive. It basically sounds like you get the bike you buy and then a less spectacular one after for free once the frame goes.
Nice to know considering my Super Six Evo has one!

Never did answer this, In the manual which came with my roubaix, there is no limit listed, however looking in the manual for Sebastian's Fuji purchased this year they are now listing a weight limit of 275 for road frames and 300 for CX frames. Yes, I would exceed both at the time of purchase.

You know... it's stories like this that make me feel OK about not getting a warranty on my frame (purchased used from fleaBay). It cost me less than half of what the equivalent new frame would have been so I can buy another one if this one breaks.

Glad to hear your days of solo tandem riding are coming to an end.

Performance and Advanced Sports (I shot out an email Monday to their COO which resulted in them absorbing the up-charge) came thru today. Ended up with the 2013 Grand Fondo 2.1 frame in Matte Black/Silver and am quite pleased. Starting the build tonight and hope to be able to finish by the weekend.

I presume you have a high range and a low range torque wrench - if not, go get them. I have a big honker for cranks and the like and one of those ritchey torque keys for small hex or torx fittings.

Post a picture when you're done, the frame looks awesome!

Is the geometry similar to what you're used to?

I have a 1/2 drive torque wrench but have not needed it yet on this frame. The bottom bracket is press fit which is used $2 in all-thread, nuts and washers from home depot in Lieu of the $150 park tool. I will need to pick up the little torque key thingamajig for the seat post.
Geometry is pretty different, much more relaxed with a taller headtube and sloping top tube. I also requested and received a smaller frame as my roubaix was always a bit stretched so I had a 90 stem. I went from the 58 frame to the 55 (which in the gran fondo is a 56 top tube/55 seat tube). I am sure once i get it built up (cabling it now) i will have to play around with the fit

You'll have trouble using that 1/2 torque wrench on anything less sturdy than a crank.

Good luck with your build, that's my favorite part of getting a new frame.

I'm swapping out my crank and my RD this weekend and trying to repair my right shifter (it sticks), woo hoo.

Well, got it all together! I am quite displeased with the cable kit I bought (Clarks Zero-g). The ferules dont seem to fit and there weren't enough in the brake kit but Ill deal with that late. I re-used the existing bar tape as I assume I am going to have to tweak with things to get the fit right.

Is that saddle the right height? That looks like a pretty good amount of drop. Your bike looks good.

I've used jagwires the last two times I needed cables. Everything is good except the so-called "pop" connectors for the brakes so I just pillaged ferrules off the removed cables. You can probably do the same.

Yes, saddle is the right height, I plan on trying to get in a short ride this afternoon to test it out. I may flip the stem but we shall see.
Interesting take on the cables as I had to pillage the jagwire POP connectors for the brakes as the ferules that came with the Clark's kit would not fit in the ultegra 6700 brakes.

Maybe the jagwire pop connectors are just an issue for SRAM brakes, I'm not sure. Which is weird because I had a set of Dura Ace cables I used for a while with the same brakes. Hm.
