Did it! 235 to 160 in less than 2 years

I started this journey in April 2013, at 235# with a goal of just being able to wear a Large t-shirt and a very old pair of 36 waist jeans again. My last weigh-in was this morning, where my scale leveled off at an even 160 pounds. I am now in a medium shirt, and have a 34" waist. So excited but I don't want to jinx myself so I'm just going to leave it at that, my next step will be to sustain it.

Wow that's amazing. I started off at 236 and my Dr. wants me to get down to 175 in the next few years. Hopefully I can come back and make a similar post myself!

Congratulations! In a similar timeframe, I've gone from 284 to 198, and I'd like to eventually get down to the vicinity of 160. I've gone from 4XL tops and XL pants to XL tops and Medium pants in that span as well.

Awesome! I just started riding to work today in hopes of trimming down a bit. Not severely overweight, but more than I should be. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, that's awesome. I can't imagine what it would be like to be 160. I think last I saw 160 would have been junior high school.

Awesome! I'm on the same path. I offically started keeping track at 228 last Feb, but I KNOW I was up around 235 myself (maybe more...). Currently at 181 this morning, I see 170, maybe 165 by spring! Rollers are really helping me. Even just a half hour 3 days a week (been busy).

Just keep trying and you will maintain it at the least!

Keep it up, set new goals, be it weight, size, strength, whatever.
And reward yourself, that new Trek Emonda SL6 is sweet.
I went from 320 to 258 ish with a goal of 225-235 depending on how strong I feel.
great job, stay motivated.

Congratulations, Mike! Huge accomplishment. I've been in a waist size 36 for several years, now. Since I started losing my waste a little, my wife has bought me a pair of 34 waist jeans for a goal to achieve. I can get in them, but they aren't comfortable yet. Still not going to take the tags off of them until I can make that my permanent pant size. Again, Congrats!

Ha! In Jr. High, I was at about 100#. I looked like an earthworm with the crap slung out if it. I don't think I'd be happy getting below 200, but I'll see. My wife likes me at my "manly" size. My main goal was to get my waist trimmed down and look proportional with my height of 6'2".
