    J's ride thing

2015 brings joy that 2014 is behind me, it was a rollercoaster. What lays ahead of me is still unknown, so maybe I'll type it out

I'm the jr clyde, 6'2ish and about 205ish (doesn't change too much). I haven't got on the scales after the holiday binge but know there is some work to do. I have high hopes to race my MTB more this yr, even got a XC racer bike i can pose with. I'm not comfy with the idea of crashing my roadie again so I'll stay in weekend warrior mode for that

    My targets for the yr

I just noticed you're doing the 12hr Temecula, I will be there with my son. He is on his High School team and him and another boy are doing the 6 hr. I believe they are at the same location.

Yup. The season before last we got one of the girls on our team a dispensation to race with the grown-ups because there wasn't any serious local competition for her in her age-group. So I had her ride with me in a Cat 3/4 crit. She sat on my wheel the whole race, then comfortably outsprinted me at the end.

I pulled up and said to a team-mate "I'm now officially slower than a 14 year-old girl". His reply? "Don't feel bad, Chas, she's 15 next month".
There have been many days when I haven't felt like riding, but there has never been a day when I was sorry I rode.

Comments: bit of endurance pace for 3 hours, goal was NOT to get into the red but don't ez pedal either. HRM data looks good on that front. @IBOHUNT would be happy with the 156.7ft/mile rating

feeling bit nervous for next weekend's adventure. My training reg seems more in lines with crit racing or other short form event rather than the longer endurance rides I was so fond of. It's too late to turn back now and change things. Guess i have to roll with the punches and see what happens

They release the course map for the laps, up the DAM(N) climb than fairly easy and flowy after that. That hill gets old pretty quick....
