    Me and my bike

Here is the pic that I have been promising to post... Just did 20.2 miles https://www.strava.com/activities/242342541 and i am not planing on doing that again for a while... over did it a bit... and will pay for it in soreness lol. anyways I did enjoy it very much till about the 13 mile marker and that will probably be what I aim for for a bit, 10 - 13 miles.

Now I am going to relax I do hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful Saturday.

Funny how you say " I will not do those miles again for a while" and a week later you do a mile more ...21.3 in today... Just about 8 more miles and i will break 100 for the mth... So excited... Just can not wait till time changes so that i can ride more in the evening when i get off of work.

Congrats, man. Nice bike, keep them wheels rollin'

You'll be amazed at how quickly you get back to 20. Those occasional "over do it" rides are the ones where you really step up your fitness and take your riding to the next level.

Edit: lol, just read you cracked 20 already. See!

Good job. As far as soreness goes....I do this after each longish ride and even after I mow the grass in the summer when the heat and humidity are over bearing in Florida. I drink 12 oz of Hammer Recoverite mixed with cold water or at a minimum, drink some Protein powder mixed with water within 10-15 mins of finishing. I don't "feel" the ride the next day.

Thanks all, I actually do not feel it the next day, well did not the last time... Still having small issues... I will be talking to my LBS, But i have slight neck pain, palms go numb and I still can not remove the gel pad from my seat.... I am going to have to get a longer stem, and that i am hoping will get rid of the neck pain and possibly the numbness in my hands... and i think i am gonna need a slightly wider seat. at least that is my best guess on how to fix it.. To bad I can not fix the issue of always hitting a butt ton of head wind always on my return trip.

Get fitted for a seat. Wider is NOT better. Get your sit bones measured and get a seat that size. It'll probably look too narrow, but it will be the right size.

You may want to look into either switching to a drop bar or at least get some bar extensions. I had major problems with hand numbness when riding a flat bar bike over 15 miles or so. Now with a drop bar I can ride 50 with no issues at all. Part of it is better fit on the new bike, but having extra positions to move your hands around on the bar really helps. Also make sure your seat is as level as possible to take some weight off your hands.
