I plan to. Plus there's not work travel -- 2 days at Laguna Seca on a 2015 S1000RR. (Since I started cycling again to get fit to ride a motorcycle, I guess that's good!)

Meanwhile, back in the pedal-powered world:

533 miles / 40,218' / 33:56 hours / 21 rides

Elevation goal met. And I got the stupid Strava Gran Fondo 100 badge today, with 63 miles and 4700' of climbing. Yay me.

Luckily I am able to go on a group ride three days a week. I added two more days on my own and got a total of 167.5 in this week. That brought my monthly total to 562 and beat my goal of 500 miles. Now I think that riding 100 km (621.5 miles) is within sight.

3/5 - 1:00 (17.6 miles) on the trainer, doing 5 min intensity intervals.
3/7 - 30 minutes (7 miles) on the trainer, with a higher resistance
3/10 - 1:00 (17.6 miles) on the trainer
3/12 - 1:00 (19 miles) on the trainer, doing 5 min intensity intervals
3/14 - 0:30 (8.3 miles) on the trainer
3/16 - 0:55 (12.4 miles) outside!!!
3/19 - 5 miles (outdoors)

3/28 - 0:23 (5 miles) Outdoors! -- I suck. I suck. I suck. Below freezing temp(20 degrees), 10 mph WNW and approx 4800' elevation gain, I roughly averaged 13mph, and maxed my HR at 175 bpm(I usually attempt to keep it within 160-165bpm) I actually felt like I was going to pass out which was the reason for the short distance today.

MTD: 5:18 / 15:00... 91.9mi / 100 mi

Looks like I'll get in the last 8.1 miles on the trainer for the month.
3 inches of snow and high of 26 deg expected for tomorrow, then up to 60 deg toward the end of the week, have I expressed my opinion on how crazy the weather is in the north east?

3/29 20.2 miles - Not sure how much of the awful was day-after-blood-donation affects and how much was my inability to HTFU in the face of the 25-45mph winds.

Farmers mowed the cornfields and had started chiseling. Corn leaves and husks sting in those winds! At least the wind took the feedlot smells with it.

205.2/250 miles.

Might just make it!

I got sidelined for the weekend. Friday I work a tool slipped and I cut the web area of my left hand, bout 2" long. Hurt like hell and next day it rubbed the shifters bad on the roadie. I didn't make it out of the neighborhood I will try to shake off a ride tomorrow and at least 30k vertical

The was a terrible weekend. We had some snow on Saturday and I had to go to work form 11 PM to 8 AM for a deployment. I came back so tired, it also killed Sunday. The only thing that was OK was that I was able to rest and get back on the trainer today for another 10.5 T miles to get me over my threshold. yippee!!!! Never thought I would get in this much time on the bike but boy does it feel good. I really missed not riding this weekend and will have to make it a point to ride on Sat. before Easter Sunday.

New totals:

Goal: 300 miles (trainer inclusive - T = trainer)

so far
3/03 -- 10.2 T miles
3/04 -- 7.7 T miles (received a new fluid resistance unit for my CycleOps and it is much harder!!)
3/05 -- 12.8 T miles (1hr on the trainer)
3/06 -- 11.3 T miles (little over 45 min on trainer)
3/07 -- 25.2 miles OUTDOORS PERSONAL RECORD: DISTANCE!!!!!
3/08 -- 12.8 miles OUTDOORS!!!!

3/09 -- 14.1 T miles (1 hour on the trainer)
3/10 -- 10.0 T miles(about hour on trainer at a more moderate pace)
3/11 -- 10.5 miles
3/12 -- 10.2 T miles (about 45 min. on the trainer)
3/13 -- 10.5 miles
3/15 -- 35.6 miles OUTDOORS PERSONAL RECORD: DISTANCE and Time (2:51)!!!!!
3/16 -- 11.5 miles
3/18 -- 14.8 T miles (computer said I was averaging 16.1 mph on the trainer)
3/19 -- 12.5 T miles (again, averaged 16 mph. GCN workouts are tough)
3/20 -- 11.9 T miles
3/22 --
42.1 miles (3:18 - Personal record distance and time)
3/24 -- 11.0 miles
3/25 -- 11.8 T miles
3/26 -- 8.7 T miles
3/27 -- 10.9 T miles
3/30 -- 10.5 T miles

MTD: 306.6 miles total (159.2 outdoors) - met my goal!!!

The lovely spring weather here (read snow and ice) has meant most of March has been on the trainer, but I have got out three times now somehow.

3/11 - 28 miles
3/28 - 2 miles (testing out the new bike)
3/29 - 50 miles (with new bike)

So 80 miles on the road so far. Lost count of how many miles on the trainer, around 300ish.

You forgot wind...Seems like the plains of Kansas have moved to western MD. Today is in the 50's but winds are out of the NW @ 21 mph with gusts to 30 mph
Supposed to be 60 tomorrow but thunderstroms (read: Rule 9). Thursday makes it in the 70's with only 15 mph winds. Might make my @expatbrit 30K number with 20 rides.

You're not wrong. Saturday I was out easter egg hunting with my kids in an exposed park, and it was single digits with the wind chill. Yesterday for my ride it wasn't too bad for the first half, but the wind really picked up for the 2nd (thankfully the temperature did too). The only real saving grace was it was sunny outside. Today it's cold, wet and windy again. When will spring arrive?

EDIT: I guess the answer is Thursday. Forecast to get above 60F here for the first time since late November.

Made it to 178.3 miles. I'm trying to talk my riding buddy into 1 more ride to try and hit 185. Work life and some bike trouble kept us from hitting my original goal of 200-240 miles. The good news is we signed up for a 20 mile group ride on Sunday and signed up for a city bike ride on April 12th that is 23 miles. So we're already committed to 43 miles before we even start the month 89 if we make it to all group rides this month. Previous high in a month was about 75 miles!

Went for a little ride after work today. Was pretty tired, but managed to set PRs on the hilly sections (whilst simultaneously going almost my slowest on the flats and descents). It's maaaagic.

I also stopped and admired the wildflowers

Added another 12.5 Trainer miles today. Wish ity wasn't going to precipitate (rain changing to snow possibly later) otherwise I would love to get an outdoor ride in. There is always tomorrow and that would be a great way to start April!!!

3/11 -- 10.5 miles
3/12 -- 10.2 T miles (about 45 min. on the trainer)
3/13 -- 10.5 miles
3/15 -- 35.6 miles OUTDOORS PERSONAL RECORD: DISTANCE and Time (2:51)!!!!!
3/16 -- 11.5 miles
3/18 -- 14.8 T miles (computer said I was averaging 16.1 mph on the trainer)
3/19 -- 12.5 T miles (again, averaged 16 mph. GCN workouts are tough)
3/20 -- 11.9 T miles
3/22 --
42.1 miles (3:18 - Personal record distance and time)
3/24 -- 11.0 miles

3/30 -- 10.5 T miles
3/31 -- 12.5 T miles

MTD: 319.1 miles total (159.2 outdoors)

23 days on the bike in some form or another. I think it would be cool to add to out 100+ / month not only distance or climb but also how many days you got out to bicycle/train.
