March 100+ mile goal thread
I'm planning to reach over 500 miles this month. On the 8th I'll have my first ever road race. What are you doing? Share your goals here plus your journey reaching for them.

I'm in for 265 this month - 600 miles on my legs and saddle coming out of March would be my best start ever, be it mostly on the trainer. If mother nature cooperates that might be little conservative - if she doesn't it will be reach.

I'm shooting for 35 hours this month, and hoping to get outdoors more than I did in February.

It's too early to predict how much outdoor ride time I'll get this month, if past two years are any indication I foresee another month on the trainer.
Goal, nonetheless, is 100 miles ... or 15 hours of indoor training this month!
Training for an upcoming half century(50mi) or two/three next month, metric century(62.5mi) or two in May, imperial century(100mi) in June, and a 400mi 5 day tour in July!

After a disastrous February ( a 155 mile goal, but only 46 actual miles ), I'm rather hesitant to be setting a March goal, what with the weather being as unpredictable as it can be for March, but having said that....
Going to shoot for 200 miles for March. Need to get serious about training for my upcoming TdC ride in June. If the weather doesn't cooperate, there's always my trainer.

Ramping up the miles and hill climbing for March. January and February were the quiet months between CX and mtn race seasons. Local mountain bike race series starts in April so now is the time to put in some serious pre season conditioning and skills training.
Goal for March. 700 miles and 40k ft of climbing.
Oh. And I would really like to drop 10 more pounds. That is a stretch goal since wife and I will be going on a little mini-vacation this month which typically means good but not so diet-friendly food and drink.

Thanks @1242Vintage!
I started the month by leading a moderate LBS ride. 25.2 miles for me, the shop ride was on 23 of that. Many of our members here are still stuck in deep winter. Our good weather is a mixed blessing in that there will not be enough water for irrigation of many crops and a much longer fire season this year.
3 years ago I was barely hanging on to group rides that my LBS would put on. Today I am leading them and having to slow down to keep the group together. My point is for other clydes and Athenas to believe in themselves and keep riding you never know the cyclist that you really are until you give it it time and miles. We are all capable beyond our imaginations.

I got over 800 miles in last month. I might shoot for 1k this month if the weather cooperates. Got some days in the 70's coming up but also lots of rain. Rain means foul weather bike, which means riding slow as **** :[
I'm pumped for my tour coming up this Spring. I'm going to be in such good shape compared to the one I did last fall, plus I'm on a faster, lighter bike. Gonna knock out those miles like its nothing.
Either way I'm hooked on my new bike. Can't believe I rode MTB's exclusively for nearly all my 20's.

I rode for a little over 500 miles in February and I'm shooting to equal that in March!

I broke 150 last month... 128 of that on the drainer
Going for 100+ again. Planning on starting an actual training routine next week if I can get my feet back in my cycling shoes (crossing fingers!).
3-1: 10.4mi(t) - 40:28 - Still on flat pedals

Almost cracked 200 miles last month. With the time changing soon I should be able to get that number if I throw in a few commutes to work.

February was bad, due to travel and bike woes. Bike should be back tomorrow, so shooting for 40,000' and some miles to make up for the missed stuff.

3/1 -- 18 miles at Hidden Falls Mtn bike playground
3/2 -- 35 miles CX commute
3/3 -- 32 miles commute
MTD 86 miles and 5.6k ft of climbing
Since it's a little lighter in the morning started using my alternative commute route which takes me down a country road. Fun part of the commute in the morning is the first mile. Ten percent grade down the hill! It really hurts when I have to crawl back up that monster hill at the end of the day.
Just registered for mountain bike race series starting next month. Upgraded a class this season to race with the faster kids.

Another hour inside last night. Outside riding is not looking up as we're supposed to get another 6-10" of that @TrojanHorse white sunshine tonight/tomorrow.
If I ever meet Al Gore I will kick him square in the muts. He can take his global warming garbage and shove it where it would take a colonoscopy to find it.

3-1: 10.4mi(t) - 40:28 - Still on flat pedals
3-3: 10.6mi(t) - 41:12 - Got speedo with cadence dialed in last night... I spin sloooooow. Still crossing fingers on being able to go back to clipless next week.

Woke to nearly a foot of snow with a bit more on the way...
Will be on the stationary today, that's for sure!
Will be shooting for a little longer time than a usual weekday ride, at a somewhat easy pace, punctuated with some 120 RPM efforts.
