What? You don't like wringing out your gloves and leaving a puddle when you get to work? :-) A couple more months will solve the problem, unfortunately....

Completely OK with this weather. It's not even that hot. Summer is too short and I'm happy to have it hang on for another week. Only bummer is that the kids are already back in school and can't really enjoy it.

I'm not ruling out taking a day off this week though.

Lower temps and higher humidity....it is like a soup. Last nights ride home was drenching and I almost would have rather had it rain than be soupy.

I have to admit that I skipped the cycle this morning and took the car.

It's definitely soupy out there right now, and I'd show up at my kid's football practice looking like a smelly, soaking mess if I rode the bike home in this stuff.

soupy that is how I would describe most of my North Carolina rides to work! I had to ride faster than 14.5,mph or my glasses would fog up. I climb this one hill everyday and there has been days when I climb too slow and my glasses have fogged up.

I'm looking forward to a bit of rain.
My spring dried up for the first time since I started pumping water out of it 2 or 3 years ago.
We had some rain last weekend, but not quite enough to get it restarted.

I haven't been bike commuting much lately. I completely skipped last week. I heard the forecast today and thought it would be a bad day to ride. Then I called BS on myself. It wasn't that bad. Normally, headwinds bother me, but I pedaled slowly-ish (11 mph) and let the headwinds cool me. Or at least it felt that way.

My main incentive to ride each day is Google Maps. Miles of red roads between me and work. It's usually the first thing I check in the morning. Weather is not much of a factor, with heavy rain and snow the primary concerns. With the new shower at work, I scoff at days like today.

Worked really late tonight and got caught in the rain on the way home.

It was lovely.

If I had a shower to use at work I would ride every day, regardless of the weather.

Just curious: What's the dewpoint on a "soupy" day in Minnesota? Around here, the dewpoint is typically in the 70-75 range on many summer days. If it dips into the 60s, that considered relatively dry, and 50s is almost desert-like.

Yesterday, the highest temp I saw was 87 and the humidity was about 74%. I think that puts the dew point in the 70's.

It's not unusual for summer but I wouldn't say it's typical. Getting kind of late in the year for that but I will take it.

In the summer it could just as easily be 10 degrees colder or hotter with much lower dewpoints. The weather systems can either come up from the Gulf or be from the West, North, or Northwest.

I don't mind it at all. I'd rather have 90 and high humidity than 50. I do have to keep moving or my glasses and mirror steam up.

I can just about tell the dewpoint level from how sweaty and splattered my cycling glasses get. I knew it was humid this morning because my glasses were so splattered that I could hardly see through them by the time I got to work. If my glasses are clear when I get to work, I know the humidity is low.

I try to wipe the front of my glasses off as I ride. I see cars sometime running wipers to clear the dew off their cars. It helps for a little bit. Today was better than the other day!

Anything approaching 70. Not high compared to many places, but I fled Missouri 30 years ago to escape it. Give me 10 below with snow and I'm happier. The fat bike makes for a longer commute, but I get to feel like a 7 year old again.
