I think it has a lot of potential but as a standalone product, not linked to a phone and with proper UI.

Its OK to test the market with a cell phone though because the tech can probably be somewhat reused.

+1 During my urban commute, there are always cars approaching me from behind. That's why I use a helmet mounted mirror.

You know how many times I have thought of that? If somebody were to do it, I'd bet some road raging motorist will start doing something in retaliation that will be worse.
