October was...
My highest mileage month ever. It didn't rain all month, and the only days I took a train were because I had to go somewhere for work. I had about 350 miles, with my last week being 1.3 miles short of a hundred. My legs got a beating, but my gut seems smaller. Hopefully, I'll have some months with just as much riding going forward, although today was not a good start and tomorrow is a holiday.
So, how was your month?

Glorious. I rode for 16 work days, and drove for 3, using those days as "logistical" transport days for supplies. The October temperatures were pleasant for the most part - and we got to see the leaves change. So, pretty nice overall.

Great! I used up 2 driving days this month and rode for 16 work days. I didn't do any weekend rides. Mileage wise I'll give a conservative estimate of around 800 km (500 miles)
Weather wise it wasn't too bad. I used neoprene shoe covers almost every morning since the second week. Only had to use the chemical hand and toe warmers two times. I expect I'll be using them more often now though.

October was very transitional. Went from sweating profusely during a ride to not even needing a shower by month's end. Did not see the sunrise for 30 days, and then barely beat it home at night last Friday as it set right before my eyes. It's nice to see deeper into the woods now as most of the leaves have fallen off the trees. It's also nice to be one of the only people on the MUP as I race home in the late afternoon, instead of contending with dog walker, roller blader and headphone-wearing jogger. Also nice to roll past the soccer fields without absent minded soccer moms cutting across the path in front of me.

Zero driving days, 2 scooter days... the rest were bicycle commute days. A fairly dry October for this area. However, I think we caught up this past weekend with the rains.

October wasn't my best month. I commuted by bike a couple days less than I planned and didn't do any weekend or group rides, so I only did 277kms this month.
However, summer is fast approaching so I've been able to leave at home a couple layers of my usual cycling gear. Also with the days getting longer I can do my whole morning commute under daylight (unlike mid-winter when almost all of it was under total darkness) and it's still day when I get home! That made my commutes more enjoyable this month, looking forward to the rest of the summer

Great weather in the beginning, then pouring of rain at the end of the October
And I had to give up my cycling commute as my equipment was very limited (No rain gear, shower facility and mudguard...)
Well this was my 3rd month of cyclocommuting, so i should be more prepared as time goes.

I drove to work for a solid week while taking my sweet time to make changes on my commuter. October is my lowest mileage month.

October was a good month for commuting I was able to ride more miles this October than last year. I was nervous a little about making it happen. I think i passed it by 27 or so miles so that is pretty cool. Last October it was much drier and I felt like I rode more than this October.

spooky? I dunno, just another month, I suppose. Got my first taste of cold weather for the season before it warmed up again. That was nice.
