How many miles do you ride per year?

I only got a computer in May but since then I have ridden 1,958 miles. I'm hoping this year I can go at least 4000 miles commuting and joyriding. How many miles do you ride each year on average?

The 2015 mileage thread has been un-stickied but you can look there for a long list of answers. That's presuming we're not all lying about it...

Are you doing some sort of virtual riding on your computer? If so, I'd think you oughta have many more virtual miles.

I have no idea how many miles I ride a year total, but I do know I rode some where around 2500 just back and forth from work. I also know that as of March this year my miles back and forth will double because of my work moving to a new location.

I average only about 3,500 miles a year, 3 years ago we had a very mild winter and I was actually able to get in over 5,000 miles, but the winters usually aren't that mild and so my average is fairly low, add on top of that work and family commitments then time becomes an issue. When I retire I plan on riding a lot more but that's not for another 8 years...sigh!

I'd estimate around 6K per year, but don't track mileage at all.

I'm well off my usual 7000. But I was sick (circle 1) mugged and got my ribs broken (circle 2) and then had a collision with a truck. (circle 3)
Most of this is commuting. Here's hoping 2016 is less eventful.

For some reason, my mileage has increased by 1k/yr over the last few years. My first few years of commuting I did 3k, then 4k, 5k, 6k, and for 2015 I somehow reached 7k. I don't think I'll get that many this year, maybe 5.5-6k.

2014 I started late and managed a nice 3120 miles.
2015 I tried to ride as much as possible and hit 5019
2016 is off to a great start and hoping to clear 6k.

Just shy of 4150km/2600mi per year average over the last 3 years. I don't separate commuting from other riding so I can't really contribute to the "Commuting Distance" stickies.

Started commuting in 2007. In 2009 I stepped it up and broke the 2k miles barrier. Since then that's been about my average, until this last year. In 2015 I decided to take it to the next level and logged 4250 miles. Not sure if I can break that record in 2016 but I'm going to give it the old college try.

In the range of 5,000 to 5,500.

My club/recreational rides were off in 2015, so my total was to the low end of the range, 5,188, of which 89.8% or 4,660 were commuting miles.

That was 218 round-trip commutes of 218 workdays. 100%.

2137 on the cyclocomputer for 2015, which was mostly commuting. That is missing a few hundred trail miles without the cyclocomputer.
