Winter must be coming

Yesterday at lunchtime I went out and bought a new winter coat. This morning on my way to work I saw 2 snowplows driving down the street (currently the temperature is 83) while I was riding along in shorts and a short sleeved shirt. It makes me wonder .....
And even more surprising I not only saw 2 other bicyclists while riding to work I even ended up talking with one while we were waiting for a light. Seeing another cyclist is pretty rare for me, and when I do we've never been stopped like this where we could talk. I wonder what the ride home will bring?

I hope they are only training new drivers and or practicing with new equipment or on new routes.

I'm glad I left Chicago. Never got used to the long winter up there.

I just checked the Farmer's Almanac, and winter is indeed scheduled to happen this year.

I broke out the thin wool sweater this morning... 41 degrees, but 67 degrees on the commute home.

Was there this past weekend. It sure didn't feel like anything close to winter. It was rather warm honestly, and winter seemed like a long ways off.

After ride home is great--25C and sunny. The morning ride in was downright nippy today. I actually thought about turning around to get another layer after about two minutes in.

No need to worry about snow just yet though.

I know this is dreadfully typical of people from my locale, but... what's winter? From what I've read about it, it sounds terrible.
