I would assume that if it's similar to a timing belt (made by Gates after all) that it's wouldn't stretch and would never wear out the other components (cassette / chainrings). It should also never require lubrication, just like a timing belt in an auto.

It is similar to a timing belt and it's supposed to last a long time with very little maintenance.
And it's quieter.

For me, coming from a 20-year old mountain bike with low-level components, it was an unbelievably smooth drive-train upgrade. With the NuVinci 330 CVT hub, it's also convenient and nearly idiot-proof.

But then I test rode a 1985 Guerciotti w/ Campy components and now I also want an old-school steel touring rig w/ some quality components.

I have figured out that the toe clips are not for me, but the fenders may re-appear.
The fenders are awesome, I hope they do re-appear.

nice bike. I've toyed with the idea of removing the fenders on a cpl bikes, but it was such a hassle getting them on, I just left them. I suppose since I have them set up just right it would be a simple matter to remove & reinstall?

btw you might like mini clips, basically a rat trap without the strap & with the top tab with the strap loop cut off, or just buy off the shelf mini clips. these are not mine but shows what they are pretty well

I really like how you're setup! One of these days, a Brooks saddle will be on mine!
I thought about toe clips, but have found the stock pedals work great as they are. I don't have any problem staying on them, and am able to pull backwards at the bottom of the stroke to help get up hills without slipping off. I may go clipless someday, but for now I'm good with them.
Glad to see someone else riding a Priority! I think I've only seen one other on this forum!
