He has been listening
Had a great ride in this morning. Clear, 53 degrees, Light wind
What even made it better than any other commute is my son who is home from collage rode in to work with me. He is working for the company I work for as summer help so we work at the same location. He is a bit over weight (6' 1" - 250)and has seen how much weight I have lost (6' - 180lbs from 215lbs)and is now giving it a try. He wanted a new bike but being a poor collage student he opted to rebuild my old DF. I think he is serious about losing the weight so I think he will stay with it. This afternoon will be the real challenge for him because its 9 miles home mostly up hill and 90 degrees.

That's great! Take it easy on him, offer him plenty of rest on the ride back. You don't want him to drop out because he feels it's too hard.
