mirror for drop down bars
i'm blind in my left eye and so its pretty crucial for me to have a mirror on bike so i can see what's coming behind me without having to turn aaaalllll the way around. a visor clip mirror is no good for me (again, blind in my left eye). i've been looking around some and have found very little. any suggestions?

I use a Third Eye glasses mounted mirror. I have mine on the left but you could put it on the RH side. The field of view is not restricted to a single direction like a bar mounted mirror. On my commute home I have to deal with an exit from an expressway on my RH side that becomes the curb lane of my road. With this mirror I just have to tilt my head a few degrees to watch for a gap in the traffic in the lane on my right.

I use a CycleAware mirror on my helmet
and an old Rhode Gear mirror on my handlebars. I have it mounted upside down so it is below the drop.

I don't think the rhodes works with new shifters.
I use this between the hood and the drops. There is no problem shifting or moving to any of the hand positions.

The only disadvantage to it is it is a curved mirror, objects will be closer....
I would recommend NOT using the extendor.

I guess I like the helmet mirror better because I have the same mirror on my "weekend" helmet.

I like the handlebar mirror for seeing everything around you. The cycleaware is better for judging distance but it's harder to use.

I like having two mirrors. I can see a little better in the bar mirror -- my LASIK surgery fixed my eyes for far vision -- but I can scan with the helmet mirror by turning my head. It's similar to having both a side mirror and rearview mirror on your car.
